I read mainly Marvel, DC and Vertigo, and am aiming to venture more into Image (besides early Spawn, my only other reads have been Invincible and the Walking Dead), and DarkHorse.

I'm new, from Mississippi, 25, used to read as a kid/teen, then left it and picked up some years back when the Civil War was going on but I've caught up somewhat, read almost nothing but Marvel, favorite characters are Norman Osborn by far, Venom, Wolverine, Deadpool, Punisher (especially the MAX incarnation R.I.P. to that series), Luke Cage, War Machine, Barracuda (Marvel MAX), Carnage, Moon Knight, Sabretooth, Foolkiller (MAX), more... Not coincidentally, I found the collection of comics my brother and I put together when I was growing up. Though '90's comics seem to be disliked by a majority of this forum, they are what I grew up with. I associate very positively with comics, so I figured I'd join. Look forward to reading the forum!

Hey everyone! I've been using CBR for years and have been lurking the forums for quite some time so I finally decided to sign up myself. I really started liking comic books when I was 12. Now I'm 18 and my focus has shifted from reading to collecting. My favorite comic book characters are Storm (hence my username), Psylocke, Bishop, Gambit, and Batman. The X-Men are without a doubt my favorite team and series.

I guess that's usually self evident when one posts here, but the title seemed appropriate anyway.

In my youth I was an avid comic collector, and I lost a 10,000+ book collection in a flood, much to my dismay. I left the hobby for that reason and about 9 months ago, I got a 'familiar' itch when I moved to a new neighbourhood and learned there was a comic shop not too far.

Here I ame 9 months and two long boxes later, with a pull list of 40-ish books and a distinct lack of friends to discuss the stories I am reading with... this seemed like a good place to do that.

Here's hoping anyway.
