I started life as a GI Joe and Transformers fan (toys, cartoons, comics), then a little later got pretty heavily into Image (Savage Dragon, Pitt, Shadowhawk, Maxx, Spawn, etc.) and then slowly faded away from comics until about a year ago when I came across some great new indie/arty/darker stuff which I loved and within a few months I now have a sizable pull list built up and am enjoying a lot of new stuff.

I've always been into art and making art (painting, ink, pencil, sumi-e) and the more unique and artistic comics, less so the mainstream/superhero stuff but occasionally something will hit the right spot even in a more mainstream title.

I'm looking forward to being a part of the CBR forums and talking comics.

I'm new, this is a pretty good place to talk about comics it seems like, although my main forum is still /co/. I read mostly DC books as a kid and lots and lots of Archie books, and now I'm getting back into comics more and more. I'm also getting back into drawing, which I'm enjoying a lot. So.. hi all!

    Greetings

I found this site by Googling for comic reviews a few weeks ago and have been checking out the news section frequently. I haven't been on any forum for quite some time now so I thought I may as well make a few posts here and see how it goes.

I'm 36 and married and live in Ottawa Ontario Canada.

I collected comics and manga a lot when I was in highschool(Web of Spider-Man, Sandman, Ranma1/2, Outlanders were some favourites), but then my comic buying slowed to a crawl in my mid-twenties and just bought the occasional graphic novel(ie. Watchmen)...and that was rare.

    Then something awesome happened...

In the early part of 2010 I saw the trailer For Scott Pilgrim VS. The World online(IMDB I think) and coudn't wait to see it. I read that it was based on a comic and bought volume 1. I sat down to read it and didn't get up and until I was done. Two days later I had volume 2-5 and read one each each day. I had to wait at least two, maybe three months for vol.6 to come out and by then I was starting to check out what I had been missing in the world of comics: Green Lantern, Deadpool, Spidey, Bats, Echo, X-books, Green Arrow, Kick-Ass and so on...

Also really enjoying DC's New 52. It's gonna be tough to decide which titles to get issue 2 of and especially issue 3+.

I'm now in to comics as much or more than I ever was. It's good to be back!

Hi, this is my obligatory introduction before I stick my foot in my mouth later on. I'm trying to think of some sauce to flavor my shoe with :)

i'm not really "new" here, but after a year on here, i figure it's finally time to 'come out of my shell.' as i get older, i really don't care who knows me or doesn't know me or what anyone thinks of me.

first off my full name is Aleksandar Trifunovich. I was born in Wisconsin and i still live here. Cudahy, WI to be exact (right by Milwaukee)- Go Brewers! Go Pack! Go Badgers!
I'm 37 and my first comic that i ever read was Marvel Team-Up #66 'Murderland' in either '78 or '79 when i was 4/4 1/2 (but i've been more of a DC guy- now "independents") and you can check my profile for whatever else i wrote, i can't even remember anymore. what i say does not or is not supposed to reflect on the Serbian people. but i am a PROUD SERB!
i'm just unique and "weird" all on my own.
i'm actually quite personable when you meet me and being a Gemini, i talk a lot!

hello everyone! "so long and thanks for all the fish!"
(but i'm NOT leaving... so what did i say that for)
    i'm a very silly/ridiculous person.

I'm a new follower of the forum.

I'm Italian (my bad english prove that ) and I'm a fan of american comics (DC, VERTIGO, Marvel, DarK Horse, IDW, Boom, Aspen, Top Cow, Image and others). I read frequently, because for me CBR is the best comic site now.

I posted for several years at another forum, but grew uneasy with a recent stance they adopted and finally felt uncomfortable enough I felt I had to leave despite several friends there; recalled running into this site during Google searches so decided to look over the avenues and rules....both looked reasonable and interesting...so...here I am.

Hey I'm Dan. I'm a college student from new jersey studying to be an act. I love movies and technology. Recently got back into comic books with the new 52 dc reboot.

Favorite heros from the comic realm I'd have to say are batman, superman, green lantern, spiderman, wolverine, and nightwing.

And I just stumbled upon this site through google.
