    Seems like the right move.

    Default I'm new here.

I am new here. I like doing art. I also like comics funnily enough. I'm 16 and from the U.K. That's it. As you can tell I'm not very urm... what's the word, good with words?

Oh good, there's one of these threads. I felt the need to post something after lurking here for the past few weeks.

    Hello everyone!

Hey y'all. I'm a (relative) newbie to comics with only a couple years readership under my belt. Decided to dip my toes into an actual forum instead of lurking for a change. I'm on a bit of a teen hero kick, so anyone who wants to talk Young Avengers (Children's Crusade #8 out Dec. 28, say whaaaat), Runaways, Teen Titans, or any of the myriad of teenaged sidekicks with cocky grins plastered on their young faces--I'm your gal.

Welp, obligatory "Hello, I'm new here" accomplished. Nothing to see here. :)

welcome sgt pepper. My all time fave teen heroes book is a toss up between young justice and the new warriors. Both GREAT books filled with great characters.

    Hi,

Thought I'd say hello as I've just found this forum.

I started off collecting comics in my late teens when I was a big image comics fan, especially Pitt and the maxx. Evil ernie was also a big favourite. Then I kind of 'grew out of it' for a few years but am happy to say I've relapsed although I'm now concentrating on graphic novels/tpb's and am keen to catch up on some of the big titles I've missed. So far I'm loving animal man, swamp thing, walking dead and watchmen. Other titles I'm hoping to catch up on include league of extraordinary gentlemen, darkness/Pitt, sandman, and fables.

Anyway, thanks for listening! Hope to chat and learn more,

    Alan

    Howdy,

Another new face around these parts and figured I should pop into this thread to say howdy... again.

I'm relatively new to collecting comics. I'd grab the odd one shot or completed run, but have never actively collected them. That has recently changed and I've found myself somewhat overwhelmed with all the catch up I'm having to do with Marvel (that digital subscription I got is coming in handy).

Well anyway here's to hoping for a good time here.

hi, i'm new here. i've been a comic book fan since i was seven years old. i started by picking up Batman and Detective comics. eventually picking up a few superman, iron man, x men and even gi joe titles from the early to mid 90's. my favourite of course being the title that got me into comics, Batman. i've been collecting since about 1994. these days i read DC titles pretty exclusively and have done for over 6 years.

looking forward to chatting with you all soon!

    Hello! I'm also new here.

I'm not particularly new to comics, but I've only in the past year or so really begun to get into them. I don't read a lot of mainstream Marvel or DC, mostly because I wait for trades so my reading of them is sporadic at best, but I've been getting into a lot of the Mignolaverse stuff. I think I chose quite a good time to get into them due to the Plague of Frogs collections, which I'm getting in hardcover, and I'm only a few volumes behind on the core Hellboy series. Oh, I also love to read the Dark Tower graphic novels and I'm pretty much up to date on them (the next one I need comes out in about three weeks).

    So, hello!

    Hi, I'm Rory

I'm new to comics as in buying comics monthly, and reading them that way, but I've always read graphic novels on occasion and my interest just grew over time.

I'm 23 and the first comic I ever read was a 1959 "Adventure Book for Boys" that used to belong to my uncle. After that I didn't really get into the medium until I was a teen and read The Watchmen, I then started things like Sandman, and other Alan Moore stuff like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, From Hell etc. and from there I moved to some Batman graphic novels.

When the New 52 news started spreading I decided that was my time to jump in. I subscribed straight off from an online retailer (not many comic shops in Bolton, England) to 'Batman', 'Batman: The Dark Knight', 'Detective Comics', 'Justice League' and 'Resurrection Man'.

I've since stopped buying Resurrection Man but added Huntress, Penguin: Pain and Prejudice, American Vampire and Severed. Yes, I like Scott Snyder.

Today I bought a copy of Detective comics from November 1988, when I was born. I think it's pretty cool.

And have yet to express yourself in words of more than three letters. That's a neat trick.

Welcome to CBR, in any event. I hope you survive the experience.
