Default Things I'd Love to See In Wonder Woman

    - Some internationalism every once in a while. Diana isn't an American and if Black Adam can go to "Kahndaq", why shouldn't Diana spend an arc in India, Russia, Europe or Africa... Especially considering her role as an ambassador.

    - Which leads me to: Mythology. One of the most recommended WW trades is still Challenge of The Gods (and League of One is also about the mythologicial foes). My only problem is that to me just Greek and Norse mythical creatures get boring after a while. But it's not like they are the only mythologies out there. And to be honest, while I understand the tie between superhero comics and Chinese/Japanese culture and philosophy because of the martial arts, wouldn't it be nice to explore some other mythologies for an arc or so? South America, India, Africa...

    - Love Life: I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't take the book over, but I dislike the idea of Diana being treated as completely sexless. I actually really liked the suggested Diana/Bruce connection (also because I'd love for Diana to interact more with the Batclan), but if that isn't possible, some partnership with somebody else can do. I wouldn't mind some girl on girl either (what about Diana and Audrey (princess of Kasnia) from the JLA Animated episodes).

    - Friendship: I'd love for Diana to hang out with and interact with maybe some of the less high profile females, like Thunder and Grace from the Outsiders. Or how about Lana Lang? They share Clark as their friend and isn't Lana connected to Lexcorp at the moment? Renee Monotoya is another one I'd love to see Diana team up with.

Good point. I think you have to look to Vertigo titles generally, like Sandman or Hellblazer, for some East/West interaction. Vimanarama also was excellent. BKV once even featured the Islamic version of Satan, Iblis, in a DC comic once I believe.

But yeah generally the superheroes are Western, so ipso facto the gods are Classical West derived too? Odd isn't it?

I'm with you. Let Diana battle Baba Yaga in Russia, trade riddles whit Coyote over hidden knowledge, stop hungry ghosts in Hong Kong, fight ghouls (evil djinn) in the middle east and werelions who has allied themselves whit warlords who gets there weapons from Lexcorp and training from the League of Assassins.

What I’m trying to say is that I want Mike Mignola to write Wonder Woman.

For Heaven´s sake, I am so SICK of the Wonder Woman/Batman shipping in these here parts!

For the love of God, puppies and strawberry icecream, can we >PLEASE< get someone in here who actually wants her to find a love interest in HER OWN BOOK instead of scavenging other books for a mate?

    Clark has Lois.
    Flash has iris.
    Hal has Star Sapphire.
Bruce has Selina, Vicky, Ivy, Angela, Pamela, Sandra and Rita.
Get Diana her OWN love interest.

    GOD!
I feel like I´m taking crazy pills again.

Sorry, Zeu. We're all hopeless romantics.

Batman needs Wonder Woman just as much as she needs him. Yin and Yang.

No other men, not even Superman, would complete her as much. She needs an equal, as does he. Everyone else they could be with just blanches when compared to them.

Consider them like actors in Hollywood. Very rarely do couples of unequal success/fame/power stay together.

    I´m a hopeless romantic two.

And I simply DO NOT think Batman is the right person for her. Period.

Diana deserves a GOD, someone who can walk the clouds with her (and no, I´m not talking big blue boyscout) a person who completes her.
Batman does not complete her, he´s manchild trapped in a childhood trauma, a control freak with quasi fascist tendencies.

Diana needs a partner, not a mental patient who´s too frail for her to hug without squashing.

You mean to tell me there´s not a single one person out there with enough imagination and creativity to CREATE a perfect mate for Wonder Woman?

No, we are so lacking in ideas and imagination that we have to rehash existing ones?

This one has already confessed his feelings for Diana in an old JLA issue written by Christopher Priest.

And even if I were to "create a perfect mate for Wonder Woman", I don't work in the comic industry and the character would never be used.

So, just because someone has already admitted he likes her, he should have her?

    This is WONDER WOMAN.
You throw a rock and it´ll hit twenty five men and thirtty three women who like her too.
    So what?

No, but I do think they'd be a good couple.

Yeah, but I'm still living in a beautiful world where Aquaman wasn't ruined.
