Did anyone else pick this up?
It's got a few scattered one-shots (Lee/Byrne, Lee/Buscema for EPIC ILLUSTRATED, Englehart/Buscema for MARVEL FANFARE), but the meat of the book is the first first eighteen issues (and an annual) of the late '80s/early '90s Surfer series. Englehart and Rogers giving way to Englehart and Lim.
There's a bunch of good stuff in here. A new Kree/Skrull War, the epic showdown of Galactus and the In-Betweener (the balance of Life and Death versus the balance of Order and Chaos - it's all very Engelharty), and so on. Some of the continuity issues are kind of irritating, with several bits of interplay between this series and Engelhart's WEST COAST AVENGERS (as well as the superfluous first part of the "Evolutionary War" annuals crossover). But, hey, Lim and Rogers translate well to black and white, the cosmology is top notch, and it's always fun to see Silver Surfer get his groove on.
If you're a not a color snob and you don't have the back issues, I recommend it.
