Default Question For Any Dan Dare Aficionados Out There

I'd like to get some of the classic Frank Hampson Dan Dare strips that originally appeared in Eagle comic in the 1950's but I need a little advice from some knowledgable person.

A friend of mine has a number of the Dan Dare HC collections that Hawk Books published in the late 80's and early 90's. These books are great but they're out of print now as far as I can tell. And they seem to go for a load of money on eBay.

I see that there is a new series of Dan Dare reprints currently being put out by Titan books. I'm guessing that these new collections have less pages in each book because 'Voyage To Venus' and 'Operation Saturn' are each split into two volumes, where as the Hawk Books versions collected these stories in one volume each.

My question is, are these new Titan collections worth getting? Are they as good as the older Hawk Books editions and what differences are there (if any) between the two?
    MY PULL LIST
All-Star Western • Avenging Spider-Man • Hit-Girl • Lady Mechanika • Road To Oz • Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon • Superior Spider-Man • Star Wars • Star Wars: Dark Times

I can't offer a comparison to the old editions, but I can say that the current editions are quite well done.
