Those crows from the Uncanny issues should make another appearance. They were so messed up.
Does anyone know why the left the title?
and did we ever find out what scott's new vision for the original five was?
My first comic ever was X-Men #70, the start of Joe Kelly's run. It's what got me into comics.
Since then the only X-Men run's ive liked is Morrison's and Whedon's.
I think the X-Men work best when they're written as normal people, and while they are superheroes, the best drama comes out of the interaction they have with it each other, instead of just putting them in superhero fights one after another.
The first couple of issues of Kelly's run is just the X-Men hanging around the mansion, and they were great drama.
I read part of Mike Carey's run, and while it's good superhero comics, it's just action sequence after action sequence, which after a while just gets really boring and diludes the drama of it.
Morrison's run had very little action, and yet, when Cyclops unleashed his rage on Magneto at the end of Planet X, it is probably one of the most satisfying action sequence i've read, even if it is brief. Because it has a dramatic build-up to it.
If House of M was meant to make the mutants a real minority facing extinction, it would make sense that the books should actually focus on how they live with that as real people would, instead of just fighting other mutants-that-are-not-really-mutants-blablabla.
Hey ya'll!
I found this in an old Wizard magazine I had.
It was part of an article entitled "Greatest comicbook stories never told" or something like that.
Interesting!
Seagle and Kelly's runs were some of my favorite issues ever.
Then they had the whole "Magneto War" stupidness and the whole thing went to pot. Pretty much stopped reading for a while after that and the whole "Twelve" and "Revolution" mess.

Yeah I love Kelly and Seagle but they planned on killing a lot of my faves. I do not approve.
