    Default New Ian McDonald!

I have been a good boy and waited for the American edition. And now it's here. And it makes me happy.

Oh, and it's set in a scarcely futuristic Brazil in which everyone sounds like the Irish. This makes me happy, too.

I'm still waiting for River of Gods to come out in paperback. Haven't read any McDonald yet, but that's the one that first attracted me, after hearing about him in one of the recommendation threads here. This new one sounds good too.

For you? Get a copy of Scissors Cut Paper Wraps Stone. Pronto. That's his abosolute best. And it's short, too.

    And OP, of course.

The only ones of his I've read so far are Terminal Cafe and Desolation Road. Both highly recommended by me.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys. I'll definitely be trying some of these sometime over the next few months.
