in terms of boys, i thought she looked good with longshot. The rogue-longshot-dazzler triangle was kinda cute hehe. too bad it didnt last too long, ohhh the rivalry and catfights that could have been.

Rogue and Gambit are perfect I guess. At first, it annoyed me they were paired off cause simply because they're both from The South.

This is probably sarcasm, but I love the idea of the pairing. . . not always the pairing itself. In AoA, he kind of dominated her, but having Rogue be with one of the most important characters in the X-world would really boost her own importance.

ok let's talk about rogue's series and what u think would it take for her title to be successful as a solo character. who do u think are the writers who should write her to boost her popularity and marketability ala JMS for Thor and who should be the artist/s doing her ongoing?


the reason i think her last series did poorly was poor writing and really, really horrid art, especially the last issues, bedard is good, but the art was horrendous. the art for the first couple of issues was so-so, but i thought it was poorly written. that explained why the first issue sold relatively good but then dramatically declined in sales afterwards. many posters have said here that rogue is better as part of a team, she is not capable of having her own series, but i believe with the right creative team, she can have a successful ongoing series.

I agree that she is capable of being on her own, especially when she had the Ms. Marvel powers. The first couple issues of her book sold really well, which proves that the character has selling potential, but she needs good stories. Mike Carey could possibly write a good solo for her has long as he does not reflect on the past too much. If Rogue is the focus of the new Legacy, I guess we will see how that does.

You silly, that's her powers. She does that to everyone. Ms. Marvel probably looks at Gambit and says, "See, this is what I used to go through. You can have your turn now."

I think Rogue has a self-confidence issue in general, not specifically just about Carol, which I think is just one of the many facets of whe she can't cpntrol her powers. Something along the lines of "I don't deserve to be happy" kind of issues.

Rogue's relationship with Carol is fairly broad in its portrayal when it comes to guilt, since really that's all Rogue seems to feel over it, that she was manipulated by Mystique into doing something she's really not proud of.

Rogue just needs to punch her in the face.
