Time to reread the Chronicles of Prydain, I think.

What sad news. I hope he's gone to the Summer Country.

As will I. Prydain was my first fantasy series ever, even before LOTR.

That's sad. I remember reading the whole series and loving it when I was in 6th Grade. Thanks for the great adventures, Lloyd Alexander.

Prydain is what got me into reading. Hearing this sucks.

The Prydain books are still the best Young Adult fantasy books written in the last century, in my opinion.

I discovered the Prydain books in 6th grade and read them over and over. I don't think I ever read anything else of his.

That Disney thing came out about two years later and was my second experience with Hollywood massacring source material. Very disappointing.

Since I'd always lumped him mentally with Tolkein and Lewis, I didn't expect him to still be alive. The part about being married for 60+ years and dying two weeks after his wife did is very touching.

Damn, he was one of the great ones.

(Though, to be perfectly honest I had no idea he was still alive up till now.)
