TV shows don't hurt you. Why take something away that might make someone else happy simply because you... what, can't change the channel? Can't go and enjoy an evening out? I'm not understanding this.
You do realize, of course, that if more people thought the way you do, then the series would have been canceled already. Right?

Anyway... the Numb3rs season finale, last night, sure did feel like a series finale. I thought it ended/progressed everyone's stories pretty well.

Survival of the fittest, how it should be. You don't like something, avoid it.
Something that it seems people have trouble doing in regards to TV and especially comic book reading, it seems!

That's just it. They do still like it, thus they aren't avoiding it. They just don't like what's being done with it.

And taking your own advice, you shouldn't be complaining about this, since it doesn't hurt you.

Using phrases for a TV show like "Kill it already, put it out of its misery" generally leaves the impression something is not liked.

And no, it doesn't hurt me. But going through thread after thread of complaints about something (not just here, it's internet-wide) gets tiresome when you're looking for information about things and all you seem to get is negative hyperbole. So, yeah, it does get in the way. Doesn't "hurt" me, but it's more pervasive than a show I don't like still airing. It's complaining about things that are impossible to change vs complaining about something directly to the source, really. Big difference.

If you're looking for information on a show, just look up an episode guide. If you come to a forum, expect whining.

So tonight is the Season 9 finale, does anyone know if its also the series finale of Scrubs? I admit, I've really enjoyed this season.

I liked this season also, and hope it's not canceled, but things don't look good.

It's chances are looking as good as those of Num3rs and The Forgotten.

Even ABC's website has said Scrubs won't be returning. I really doubt that was a typo.

Bummer, Wednesdays became awesome, Scrubs, The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town. I was really happy with that situation.

True enough, but I still think Treqqor has something of a point.

Everyone has a right to complain, but at a certain point the law of diminishing returns kicks in. Complaining about the decline of a show you once liked is natural and understandable. Continuing to watch it well after it's dropped below your acceptable level of quality is self-defeating, esp. if the only reactions engendered by doing are negative. Wishing for a show to get the ax to spare yourself having to watch its decline is confounding logic at best. If it's so bad that you can no longer stand to watch it, then just stop watching it. And if you already have stopped watching it . . . then what difference does it make to you whether it gets canceled?

Obviously, there are those who disagree with you. It's not wishing for a show to get the ax to spare yourself from watching it.
