We've been closing off the All-Purpose Wrestling threads at TV\Film when they reach 5,000 posts presumably because having threads over that length messes with the server.
The Rick Olney thread at YABS has in excess of 26,000 posts on it. Does this mean we can keep the wrestling thread going a lot longer?

The admins have determined that the length of a thread is not really a issue. It is now up to the individual mod of the board if they want to close and restart threads after a certain length.

I dont think that thread lengths should be a problem for a forum.I have seen threads with over 50,000 replies.Its the forum itself that`s able to take that kind of space or not.
