Default Baltimore or The Steadfast Tin Soldier And The Vampire

I just bought these two promo posters on eBay. I think they look fantastic. I was curious if anyone here could give me some information on the project that it's for.

Search the forum for "Baltimore" and you will find several threads on the topic.

They were exclusive to the New York Comicon I think. Absenter picked up a few for Hellboarders and got them signed.

He got me the second one.

    Thumbs up

Well in my opinion the 3rd print is the coolest. It's a large picture of the man on the cover of the book...very very cool.

Does anyone know any online retailers who have this 3rd poster for sale? Perhaps a comic shop with an online store? I don't really know any offhand.

    In Amazon:
Baltimore,: Or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire (Hardcover)
    Hardcover: 304 pages
    List Price: $25.00

    In Previews:
BALTIMORE, OR, THE STEADFAST TIN SOLDIER & THE VAMPIRE PREVIEWS EXCLUSIVE HC
    HC, 7x9, 336pgs, B&W..........$25.00

What's exactly the difference? 32 pages? Are they illustrations?

You should ignore that Diamond listing for now. I don't know what they're doing. Diamond will be offering the trade hardcover edition (the regular Bantam edition), which is what you see in that listing. However, they'll also be offering a Previews Exclusive edition that has added materials, a different cover, and possibly even signatures. That one will be more expensive, obviously. Seems they're a little confused at the moment.

Added materials? Signatures? Sign me up! Any idea if the Previews edition will come slipcased, Chris? That would be the icing on the cake!

    Hi all,

While Amazon does indeed list the regular hardcover edition as being 304 pages for a list price of $25, the Previews Exclusive Edition is described in the latest Previews (June 2007, page 400) as being 336 pages for $39.95.

    Here's the product description:

A Previews Exclusive! In a story that unfolds through a series of flashbacks, British aristocrat Lord Baltimore encounters a vampire on the bloody battlefields of The Great War, unwittingly releasing a great evil into the world ... an evil he vows to vanquish! Renowned comic artist and Hellboy creator, Mike Mignola, adds a visceral, visual appeal -- over 150 original black-and-white illustrations -- to this chilling collaboration with Bram Stoker Award-winning author, Christopher Golden. This Previews Exclusive Edition also features the original Hans Christian Andersen story that inspired the author, along with additional spot illustrations. An additional sketchbook section of art by Mike Mignola is also included, exclusively for this edition.

    HC, 7.5x9.25, 336pgs, B&W: $39.95.

Mr. Golden, does this sound accurate? I'm sure lots of Hellboarders want to know, so they can safely pre-order copies through their local comic shops!

(BTW: I'm a long-time lurker and first-time poster, so hello all!)
