Default Will Hulk be pardoned following the events of Ultimates 2 #13?

He was sentenced to death, a sentence which was actually carried out. But now, with Hulks re-emergence in Ult.2 #11, what does this mean for Hulk/Bruce Banners legal status in the United States?

He helped save America from the threat of the Liberators, yes, but he still killed over 800 people in New York, is he now pardoned for that?

I for one would love to see the Hulk re-join the Ultimates after a full governmental pardon. The Ultimates universe could then go with the Avengers in a direction the original universe never did; an Avengers roster with Cap, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk as the permanent staples of the team.

If he wasn't pardoned for helping save the solar system from destruction at the hands of the Chitauri, I don't think he'll be pardoned for helping stop an invasion of the US. :p

    spoilers:
But anyway, whatever happens, if I'm not mistaken, we've already seen the Hulk in preview art from The Ultimates 3, so it looks like the Hulk's gonna be sticking around.
    end of spoilers

I don't know if the Defacation thing helped him out any, but as far as helping the Ultimates- He did that before and still got a death sentence.

I think we can probably see the Hulk being something of a hush/hush partner, as the Ultimates can put him to double use (Hulks strength/Banners brains) but I seriously doubt he's going to be around for the ballroom dances and photo ops...

But at least now he's not the sacrificial lamb for the team, thats going to be Pym's job in Ultimates 3, that is if Hawkeye doesn't kill him in Ultimates 2. At the very least, Pym's going down for treason, and whether that's a death sentence or some other kind of punishment, only Loeb knows.

    I dunno.

I think that Pym might well live.

unless Ultimate Avengers 2 was actually made with some inside knowledge.

I think Jeph Loeb is just going to ignore whatever happened in the first 25 issues, and tell classic Avengers stories with classic Avengers, continuity be damned.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

if Millar were still writing it we'd see the US government hypocritically forgiving him..or maybe worse, getting him in jail and using him just when needed
but since Loeb is going to ruin everything I see Hulk running happily around and stomping Russians- Chinese-otherrace villains with his big feet

I think the Hulk should be pardoned. He never really meant to do anybody any harm, just the synchronicity of events fell into line to bring out the worst of his shattered psyche at the worst possible moments.

He's going to ruin more thoroughly than that. He has explicitly stated that he's scaling down the whole political aspects of the book in favour of 'good old-fashioned superhero stories'. So he'll be happily stomping Kang and Ultron, not the Russians or the Chinese.
