    Default Elephantmen

Ladrönn has finally finished the wraparound cover to the first ELEPHANTMEN hardcover, WOUNDED ANIMALS and we'll be sending files to the printer next week... My apologies to anyone who's been asking for it at their LCS.

As the book is being printed in China, we'll still have to wait until July to see copies I'm sorry to say.

Meantime, ELEPHANTMEN #9 is slightly delayed due to JG and I being wrapped up in designing the hardcover, but we'll be sending that issue off to Quebecor next week and it should still make it into stores within a couple or three weeks.

If you're looking for a little backstory on the creation of the ELEPHANTMEN and the COMICRAFT lettering and design studio, those awfully nice chaps at aroundcomics, recently interviewed me live and in person here.

The latest HIP FLASK hardcover, volume 2: CONCRETE JUNGLE, is still in stores now.

Note to self: Don't ask Ladrönn for TWO wraparound covers in a three month period.

    Cheers,

    Rich!

I've got to say that I didn't buy this book at first, but a buddy told me to try it out. I haven't been disappointed at all. Great book.

In addition to copies of the hardcover collection, WOUNDED ANIMALS, we should have some jigsaws and the tees at our booth in the redcarpeted Independent Press Pavillion at San Diego Comic Con (Booth #2106).

I've bought the series from the very start, and enjoyed it very much. Does anyone know what happened to the Hip Flask: Mystery City? Part 2 should have been out in 2006.

The next issue of HIP FLASK, OUROBOROUS will be available sometime next year. Meantime, there's a new interview on the subject of ELEPHANTMEN here.

I just listened to Mr Starkings interview on Around Comics, and I am very excited to check out this book. I wish my local shop carried a bit more variety. This book is near impossible to find there sadly.

That's right, the Around Comics podcast focusing on HIP FLASK and ELEPHANTMEN can be found here...

ELEPHANTMEN: THE PILOT goes on sale tomorrow!

I was quite shocked (in a good way) to find this at my local shop yesterday. Maybe they have finally started listening to me in what they should order.

    Great book!

I've been meaning to pick up this title for a while now. I grabbed the #0 issue when it came out and thought it was great, but I'm a real stickler for wanting to read stories in the order intended. Where should I start with ELEPHANTMEN (or HIP FLASK as the case might be)?

Am I understanding correctly that the #0 issue I grabbed was a re-print of Hip Flask: Unnatural Selection? If so what would come next, Concrete Jungle?

After UNNATURAL SELECTION I'd recommend the upcoming ELEPHANTMEN hardcover, WOUNDED ANIMALS.
