Default Flaunt It: Collectibles and Collections

So, I think we've done this sort of thing in the past. Since I'm in the process of moving into my first home (not technically first, but first of my very own). I'm currently filling out my house with my not so vast collection of collectibles. Not done yet, but here's a couple badly taken pics of my work in progress office and generally where I am thus far.

    Shelf Space 01
    Shelf Space 01 Closer

I'll followup down the road with what the rest of the room looks like. Have to get the artwork out of the tubes and on the walls first. I'll be happy to add closer up pics if anyone is interested too.

I'm interested to see what some of you other boarders have going on. Don't leave me hanging here folks.

Hmm! Funny you should mention this but I was just - not two hours ago - finishing up on some long awaited framing. Unfortunately I busted the glass in one of the sets and I'll have to go get another piece cut tomorrow. This will be half my current MG collection framed. I was going to wait 'till they were all done but this is just SO timely! Sorry for the crappy photo but this is just a temporary documentation.

The frames are from Ikea but I've re-fitted them with acid free mattes and barrier paper. Even so, much cheaper than a full on framer and so much better than sitting in that folio never getting seen!

ok here are some more crappy shots...

    the page from 3rd wish

our favorite wizened one - used to belong to Stygian

Guy Davis BPRD cover on the floor for now.

The first two are up in the livingroom but with 4 more pieces to squeeze in everything else is gonna move around. Soon - very soon there'll be a moratorium on anymore collecting. We're literally stuffed to the gills here! Of course most of it is glass and ceramics.

Very, VERY nice stuff on parade here.

Spyda, the Grendel Prime statue cinches it as awesome. Had my eye on that a long time...and I don't even read Grendel. It just looks so badass.

Gary...fantastic as always; an inspiring collection, you completist you. Looks like you are going to need more room for sure!

Morna - that last framed pic of Abe is killer. I love that one.

I am about to close on my first house, too, so everything I have is being packed up. But everyone's displays look great.

Those are some awesome pieces Morna.
