Thnks for the link but he's a strange man. Esp. after seeing him on Rob's Sudblog:

I find his Earthworm Jim was the best. Tommysaurus Rex was second. His art has gotten very distinctive but his ideas have gotten stale for me.

    Thanks for listening!

I haven't yet read Tommysaurus Rex, but I loved Earthboy Jacobus and Iron West. Creature Tech is good too, but its not my favorite.

I honestly can't wait to see what he's got in store for Black Cherry.

One of the things he touched on in the interview was that his main characters are flawed, but tend to be likeable. I definitley agree with that from what I've read, and IMO likeability is getting harder to find in comic characters these days.

Thanks for posting this. I, personally, think Doug TenNapel is a gem in the crown of modern comics. His comics are fun, vibrant, sentimental, heart-felt and... bizarre. I enjoy the genre mixing he seems to have always been fond of (dating back to EWJ). I always look forward to his next release. I'm not implying that I think his work is flawless, but it's only people who are actually attmepting to do something new that can accept their weaknesses with pride. In fact, those weaknesses often come across as endering qualities.

    Creators like Doug 'get it'.
