If Marvel did a series of "What If?" style one-shots set in the Marvel Universe, what would you like to see?
And what creators would you like to see on that project.
Some that come to mind for me....
What if Mary Jane Watson was bitten by a radioactive spider?
I don't think anyone could top Bendis/ Bagley,
What if Wolverine killed Professor X (in the first arc of Ultimate X-men)?
What if Captain America was revived in 1964?
What if Doctor Doom killed the Fantastic Four (I can't think of a better F4 idea)?
And a final Ultimates What If in which the Skrulls take over the world (What if Thor refused to join the Ultimates? What if Bruce Banner was cured?, etc), and end up fighting the Marvel Zombies.

Nothing really. It would just be set in the Ultimate Universe, and use that world's continuity, which has now been well-established. Originally Posted by UTVol8102
Granted, there are stories you can't just tell in the regular Marvel Universe. With the events of Ultimate Spider-Man #1, a "What if the spider bit Mary Jane?" storyline is possible. The first arc of Ultimate X-Men makes "What if Wolverine killed Professor X?" a possible storyline.
One thing I realized is that it would be in Marvel's best interests should they ever do this "event" to use only the best-selling and most widely read Ultimate storylines. I thought Marvel Zombies essentially covered the infection thing, although you could do an entirely new story with the heroes of the Ultimate Universe in their futile last stand against the zombies. And you could easily get the Kirkman/ Phillip/ the cover artist for the book. Originally Posted by ThePhenom
Yeah- it tops my Doom idea.
I'm not so sure about the Elektra/ Daredevil idea, because they're fairly minor characters in the Ultimate U, and the mini series didn't sell so well to begin with.

what if uncle ben was an LMD for the last 2 weeks of his "life" and is still out there somewhere? it wasn't a random killing but a political type shield related thing.
what if professor X wasn't a mutant?
