Small week for me too, but some awesome books.

    Dark Horse:
Criminal Macabre: Two Red Eyes #4 of 4:
Mini comes to an end, should be a show down with a certain famous vampire, but not the one you're thinking of. I've enjoyed this so far. Dark Horse needs to release some kind Criminal Macabre Omnibus.
Empowered TPB: Adam warren black and white fun. Previews pages looked nice, Looking forward to it.
GitS: Human Error Processor #6 of 8: Waiting for them all to read through.

    DC/Vertigo:
    52, Week 46:
Not too much longer to go. Still great.
Checkmate #12: Really starting to enjoy this a lot. Good jumping on point.
Justice Society of America #4: Another great book. can't wait for this one.
Spirit #4: Why does DC release their best books in the same week? Glad I picked up this series.
Testament #16: Last issue was an vast improvement, so I'm back on board.

    Marvel:
    Ultimate Power #4 of 9:
And we're back. Is this the JMS written portion? Can't remember. Enjoying it so far.
X-factor #17: Are they spitting this book out every two weeks? God bless Peter David and his little mutant book. This make 4 great series released on the same day. Good week.

    EMPOWERED TP $14.95
YESSS!!!! I've been waiting for what seems like FOREVER for Adam Warren to come out with another project fully drawn by him, and this is his newest original series, presented as black & white graphic novels. It's Adam's take on the superhero genre. I find Adam to be a genius in both his art AND writing and he's long been an influence on me and I can't wait to see where he's taken his stuff.
    52 WEEK #46 $2.50
    Yeeks! Closing in.
    BIRDS OF PREY #104 $2.99
I love Wannabe. ^_^ REALLY been digging the new direction and it's been a welcome change-of-pace for the series. Lots of fun and surprises.
BRAVE AND THE BOLD #2 $2.99
First issue was great! Yay for Waid and Perez! This ish is Hal and Supergirl, I think.
    CHECKMATE #12 $2.99
I'm a little behind on this one. (blame Civil War?)
    DETECTIVE COMICS #830 $2.99
I think this ish has Dini back on. Yay Dini!
JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #4 $2.99
Didn't used to be a JSA reader, but I jumped in with one of the later trades and the All-Stars collection and the new series hoping to get in on the Kingdom Come nods and the upcoming JLA crossover and I am LOVING this book. :D
    SPIRIT #4 $2.99
    Love Darwyn. ^_^
    SUPERGIRL #15 $2.99
    Origins of Power Boy?
    Y THE LAST MAN #55 (MR) $2.99
OH NO! So close to the end!!! [weeps]
    NOBLE CAUSES #28 $3.50
    Always great fun!
JOHN ROMITA JR 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL $3.99
I think this's a lot of rarities and production stuff and sketches but the real draw was the original story written by Neil Gaiman.
    RUNAWAYS SAGA $3.99
EEEEE!!! HUMBERTO RAMOS DRAWS RUNAWAYS!!!!!!!!!!! Plus a retelling of the series thus far, through the words of my favorite Runaway, Molly.
    SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE #16 $2.99
First ish drawn by David Hahn! I will miss my Taki VERY MUCH but David's stuff looks like it captures the feel of the book VERY WELL. (still would like to know what happens when McKeever breaks my heart and leaves the book for DC)
    ULTIMATE POWER #4 (OF 9) $2.99
    First of Straczynski's three issues.
    X-FACTOR #17 $2.99
OH MAAAN!!! This has been SOOOO GREAT!!! The Jamie hunting his multiples stories have been phenominal.

I have to thank Augie and the Pipeline podcast for reminding me that the Barry Windsor Smith Weapon X trade is on my list. Never read it before, and I'm looking forward to it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find The Walking Dead #36 in my box today. Did Diamond have this on their shipping list?

And how great is that Garney Back in Black cover?

    DC
Spirit Vol 6 #4 $2.99: Da'um. This is simply the best comic out there on a regular basis right now. Why is it so good? I don't know. But it's damn good.

Teen Titans #44: Got this cause my copy from last week had a page long smudge on one of the last pages. I thought I checked this one out so that it had none. And it didn't, on that page. When I got home I discovered another page had the same problem. I wonder if this was the same for everyone? Stupid copying error.

Justice Society of America Vol 3 #4:This was good. I like the way Dale illustrates this book.

    Image
Lovebunny & Mr. Hell: A Day In The Love Life:I got this really, super late. But I've always loved this comic and I think this was one that was not included in the trade. So, looking for back issues of the Lone Ranger, I saw this and picked it up immediately! Love LB & Mr. Hell, miss them much!

    Marvel
Ms Marvel Vol 2 #13 $2.99: This looked okay. I know a little about the artists but who I really got this book for was Sotomayor. I think he brings something to the art that I really like, usually on every book he works on. So, I have not seen his work in a while, I thought I'd pick this up.

Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #16 $2.99: Alrighty then. Suddenly the book is not so attractive. :( Um, I think Josh Middleton would've been a better pickup than this new person. Sorry people.

X-Men Vol 2 #197 $2.99: Well, at least Chris' art looks somewhat like his style from years ago. I picked this up not knowing anything about the storyline and I don't know if this is an important story, but at least it looked like he actually drew lots in this book.

    Dark Horse
Conan #38 $2.99: Standard fare. Okay book. Nothing outstanding or unusual about it. Oh yeah, the cover, AWFUL!

Empowered TP $14.95: Adam, you dirty man. ;) Honestly, I don't know why this was packaged the way it was. He cuts out the curse words and besides the main character's boobs, there is not any more nudity with the explicit sex scenes than what I've read in books not sealed at all. The book was packed with his art in at least b&w, but it went kinda nowhere for me. Adam, either make a porn book or end it now. I couldn't see a story like, The Pro go on for a series or anything, and I bet your take on sexual superheroes can only last as long. My suggestion, end it here, at volume 1. Storywise, it went dull. Without a doubt, the best part of the book was the character of the world eating demon that they trapped in the belt.

Fafhrd And The Gray Mouser TP $19.95: Haven't had time to read this yet, but picked it up on good things I saw some said about it on the Hellboy board. I read a little to find out that this is a collection of something Mike did before Hellboy and was done a while ago (no, I did not know). So, it's interesting to see him and his style emerging, the heavy darks, etc. I'll put something better when I've read it.

    Dynamite Entertainment

Lone Ranger #2-4: Had to search these out. This comic is very good, but I can't find the trade and they seem (not sure, must count) to be very fast reads. But I'm not sure if that's because I enjoy them so much or they are small books. Either way, this is an awesome comic and I really love the way it depicts the fictional western.

    Goodbum Studios
Hard Boiled Comics #3 $2.95: Now, Hard-Bullied Comics. Don't know what the hell this book is supposed to be, but the art is wonderful. B&W goodness, and you can tell this person has talent. Only crit is that with this art, if they had a colorist, maybe some of the fight scenes would be clearer.

    Hyperion
W.I.T.C.H. Vol 7 Under Pressure GN $4.99: Looked cartoony good, but no time to read it yet.

Edit: well I read the WITCH book and it's good!! :) I like the art and the story is very involved with the characters, I would've thought it was gonna go off onto a very 'girly' type book, but it was just really good characterizations throughout.

He has colored the whole run so far, and look for him on Planet Hulk issues too.

I don't think there is a trade out because they haven't finished the first six issue story yet. One more to go maybe.

Here's what I bought (and why):
The Brave and the Bold # 2: Good creators plus GL. Finally a current Perez DC book I can wrap my head around.
Exiles # 92: Other Marvel Universes with bigger problems than CW or Annihilation. ;) Want to see what Claremont does.
Marvel Adventures Avengers # 11: Jeff Parker cannot be ignored. Well, OK, he can. But at your peril. :)
Ms. Marvel # 13: A favorite of mine.
The Spirit # 4: Good new title.
Walking Dead # 36: I have been trying this out. Intense.
X-Men # 197: Cool characters in this title.

    recent back issues:
The Immortal Iron Fist # 2 (2nd printing): Impulse buy. The female IF here will have her story fleshed out in # 7 apparently.
    X-Men # 196
X-Men Annual # 1: Since I enjoyed catching up on the last half a dozen issues of this series, I grabbed this too.

    old back issues:
Captain America # 391-392: Finishes a story arc I abandoned around when I was dropping the title.
