I like the first one a lot. Peter being swallowed up like that against the black is gorgeous.
i get what you were trying to do w/ the first piece, but it's a bit disconcerting composition wise...but it's very elegant
the other 3 pieces are very strong in conveyance, although the scarlet witch looks high...which is pretty funny...but her body language is strong... and that's good.
My two faves are:
The first sketch is a great great idea, I probably would've drew the hands showing more of a struggle (hands mean alot IMO).
The second sketch is pretty good too, although I would've drawn the left eye even if it was covered by a shadow. Peter looks reaally cute too, almost up to Greg Land's Namor level cute. Excellent pencils which would make it easy to ink.
Really nice job on the hands. Not an easy thing to draw for a lot of people.

These are great. Good poses, action, emotion, hands. But I think you need to work on the female faces a bit. Their noses seem to big to me and quite unatractive. Now this may be what you want. Break the conventions. But if you were aiming for beautiful or even pretty you need to use smaller less detailed features on women.
That's my only problem.

Hey TJ. Just wanted to say that your stuff is simply incredible. My fav so far is the Spider-Man vs Venom drawing.

Goodbye León (november 16th, 1993 - june 12th, 2009). You were, are and always will be the best friend I ever had. I will always love you and never forget you. And please, please forgive me.
Thank you for teaching me about love, patience and caring. Rest in Peace, my friend. I hope that wherever it is you are now, you can run and play as much as you want.
Thanks. The composition of the piece was the most important element to me when I drew this. I'm glad you like it :).
Score! I might try to draw that eye, but it's given me nothing but grief so far.
I think I just got lazy by the time it came to draw spidey's hands.... I might try again, with hands.
Thanks :)
I definitly agree. I drew their noses HUGE. Biggest noses I've ever drawn. I see what you're saying about smaller features, though. Might have to do some studies or something.
*Blush* Thanks. Really. I've struggled with hands for a long time, so that means a lot.
Thanks!

I hadn't even noticed that until Kara pointed it out. My mind was boggled with the remaining parts of the drawings.

As has been noted they look real. You haven't done anything wrong on an artistic level. women can and do look like that. But if you want to be a successful comic artist and be hired by the the big companies then I think you'll have to play the game a little.
More comic book fans will buy your work if you pretty your females up a bit.
Do some studies. See what you think. If you prefer smaller features then go with it and if not stick to what you are already doing. No harm in trying things out.
I think you have the makings of a very successful comic book artist.
The hair on Sonja is top notch by the way.
Have you done any pages?

If you can get a really talented color artist to color the Scarlet Witch sketch it can come out beautiful.
Thanks :) *blush*
I think the nose thing is just a really bad habit that I need to break myself of. You can't see it here, but I do it on male faces too. Studies are probably the best route.
I've done a few pages, but they were just for an independent project. I've entered Small Press Idol 07, though, and hopefully we'll get to the sequential stage of the competition.
