While at the conventions I do a lot of sketches that don't see print anywhere! They are drawn on the spot and whisked away to a private collection. I love it that these pieces are given a loving home, but they also need to be shared and enjoyed by everyone!

O.K.. I have no real explaination for this update, other than I really do like Dan Decarlo and early 1960s Archie / Betty/ Veronica comics... So while sketching the other day I decided to make a piece that was a bit different than the sort of thing that I often do. Now here is the funny part... I actually invisioned this as a gag cover... You've all seen the old Archie comics... So I want to see what you guys think that the cover gag should be... What do Betty and Veronica say!?
As for the "Take out the Trash" piece... This is a drawing that I created while teaching some kids about drawing/ creating characters. The very talented Chris Moreno (Artist of "Sidekicks", "Dracula vs King Arthur", etc..)was with me that day and he's asked me again and again for me to post this drawing. So, Chris... Here it is! It too is off the beaten path for me, so I thought that this posting was the most appropriate place to show it! The idea is a comic about a disinterested grumpy garbage man who only is interested in junk! For some reason he is the object of a skinny art school girl's attention... She finds things to throw away as an excuse come talk to him... Yes, a goofy concept.. but no worse than Angel and the Ape.. indeed!
Don't forget gang... Gimme those word balloons for Betty and Veronica!
