Tell me about it. I was hoping they'd at least use one or the other or somehow both for the Shinkenger Brown ep, but appranetly that's one of the few that aren't getting translated.

Not only are they not funny they don't add anything to the show. I don't get the point of having them on the show.
I have this idea for the next X-teme Games Gold Medal Event--Bear Tickling. Its like Bull riding but more X-treme! You are timed on how long you can tickle a bear before he attacks you.

Default Akibaranger & Super Sentai handoff 2012

Has anybody heard about this show? http://www.jefusion.com/2012/02/akib...-revealed.html Apparently, it's an adult oriented version of the Super Sentai series!

I've been watching Super Sentai shows on Youtube all night and ran across the Super Sentai handoff from Gokai Red to Go Buster Red:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esw1R...eature=related Actually got a lump in my throat as Gokai Red walked off--I know, I know, I'm a toatl wuss. Anyway, who knows how long Toei will let it stay up, so check it out.

Red face Power Rangers coming to DVD this Fall!

.....yeah, I guess this thread is dead. LoL

Anyway, good news! All the episodes of Power Rangers from 1993-2010 will be released on DVD from Saban, Shout! Factory, and Time-Life! The first thirty episodesof Season One will be available on DVD in the Fall priced $19.93! Even better, box sets of Seasons One-Seven will be available on July 31! read all about it here: http://www.jefusion.com/2012/05/powe...n-dvd.html?m=1 I personally cannot wait to see Jungle Fury on DVD-it's my favorite PR show at the moment--and the ones I never got to see like Operation Overdrive and RPoM. PR:Samurai will be released to DVD seperately. This gives me hope that someday we'll see box sets of the entire Super Sentai Series with English subs!

I have watched four eps of Akibaranger, and I lurve it! LoL. It's all about three youths (a 34 year old male Super Sentai otaku, an 18 year old high schoolgirl who is a closeted otaku, and a 24 year old woman who is an otaku and cosplayer)who are given transformation devices by a gorgeous female "scientist" (actually just a Super Sentai cafe owner) that allow them to become Akibaranger. However, it turns out all their battles are just delusions!

I've heard of it. It sounds hilarious. For the record, though, it's "RPM," not "RPoM."

Also, on the issue of Super Sentai, how do you like Go-Busters so far? And on the issue of Samurai, I find it rather disappointing that Bulk and Spike haven't interacted more with the Rangers and seem to be mostly unrelated side characters. All the same, I am enjoying the show a bit more now that Deker and Dayu are back, which means we can still get that eventual awesome showdown between Deker and Jayden.

By the way, I've heard murmurings that Saban is going to skip straight to Gokaiger for the 2013 Power Rangers series since that would fit more with the idea of a 20th anniversary for the whole franchise than Goseiger. I'm wondering if that's true or not.

"RPoM?" Why'd I type that? LoL

Akibaranger is awesome...you should definitely check it out.

Not a huge fan of Go-Buster (or G-Buster, as I call it). I've only seen episode 1...maybe my opinion will change when I've seen more. Not really feeling Samurai...those guys are really bad actors, especially the blonde and the black guy. And that Super Samurai armor that Jayden's been wearing inside the Zords is really goofy--it looks like a shogun's body armor on steroids. Bulk and Spike are entirely superfluous to the show: I thought they were at least going to become students at the dojo that one time, but no, it's all just unfunny antics and mugging to pad out under-running episodes. I hope they don't skip Goseiger! I've heard that rumor as well, and if they do, that would really suck.We already missed out on a PR based on Jetman because PR started with the Zyuranger footage from the season after it...Saban better not deprive us of a badly acted US version of Goseiger!

    Exclamation Power Rangers Megaforce

Here I go making another attempt at ressurecting this thread.....

http://www.jefusion.com/2012/06/powe...elebrates.html So apparently Saban is counting Power Rangers: Samurai and Power Rangers: Super Samurai as the 18th and 19th seasons of the show, making next season the 20th anniversary. Next year will see the appearance of Power Rangers: MEGAFORCE (stupid title, I know...), which seems to be an adaptation of Gokaiger, considering Saban's press release says the show will pay tribute to the series' past, present, and future. Looks like they will be skipping Goseiger after all.

We'll see. The article didn't specifically say Gokaiger, and MegaForce seems like a better fit for Gosaiger. Looking at the pirate motif of Gokaiger, I don't think MegaForce. Pirate Force, maybe.

But we'll see. Could be skipped, could be used with some heavy editing going on somewhere. I just want Samurai to be over already. I think its worn out its welcome and its time for the next series, whatever it's adapted from.

I don't want them to skip Goseiger, either; hopefully, they won't do that. As to PRS: I feel your pain. That show has totally run its course. Unfortunately, the remainder of the episodes are being held back until the Fall, so it looks like the show will be around for awhile.

I think its so easy to adapt Goseiger. The visual is awesome, and if they're worried about any sort of "angel theme"...just ignore it entirely. Those suits look like some sort of avian air force, which is why Mega Force fits nicely. The villains look awesome visually...honestly I'd sooner get Goseiger toys than Shinkinger. Well, I'd sooner get Gokaiger, too, but anyway, I really don't think it would make sense to skip it, but I don't run Saban.

Also, isn't a popular theory simply that they'll swap places? Use Gokaiger, THEN Goseiger? But I don't see them not jumping at the chance to use the latest Sentai, either.

I don't know. I just think it would be a shame if we don't see Goseiger adapted in any form whatsoever.

It would be a shame not to use them. I've only seen one episode and the Gokaiger vs. Goseiger movie, but they seem like a pretty swell bunch of guys. And I really like the design of their costumes. I wouldn't mind Gokaiger's adaptation going first if we got Goseiger next. Whatever happens next, they seriously need to hire a better bunch of actors! The first season wasn't high theatre by any stretch of the imagination, but Tommy, Kim, Zack, et al sound like Shakespeare when compared to the cast of Samurai. Were they the only people who showed up to the audition or what? And please Saban, drop Bulk and Spike!!! I guess Bulk needs the money and must be Saban or Shuky Levi's bastard stepchild or something, but he needs to go.

I was thinking the same thing. All the casts of the Disney era of PR seemed pretty good for the most part. Honestly I can't think of anyone I didn't really like, acting-wise that is. Here, I think the only one improving is the guy who plays Mike. Its like they picked the first people who showed up and said "good enough, this process takes too long anyway."

And please Saban, drop Bulk and Spike!!! I guess Bulk needs the money and must be Saban or Shuky Levi's bastard stepchild or something, but he needs to go.
I don't mind them so much as I mind they really have nothing to do and serving no purpose. Honestly. adapting Shinken Brown where both of them were the analogue to Shinken Brown would have made so much sense its not even funny. And through that episode there presence on Samurai would have made sense. Now they're just...kinda there. Acting goofy just because. My only theory is that the guy who plays Bulk is an old friend of Saban and Saban wanted to do him a favor.

Can someone give me a quick status update about PR? I remember hearing about a year or 2 ago that Saban bought back the rights from Disney and decided to adapt the Samurai sentai series. Are they still on the Samurai? Will they continue adapting the new sentai series too, or are they pulling a "Mighty Morphin'" and extending out the current rangers but with original or spliced material from later series? Also, did they bring production back to the States or is it still in NZ (and are they using NZ actors or US/Canadians)?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm obviously outta the loop. I haven't really watched a PR series since SPD (I used to keep up consistently up thru Lost Galaxy, but since then its been sporadic/sparse viewing at best). I don't even know what channel it's on anymore. I dont think ive seen any commercials for it.

Yes, Saban brought the rights to Power Rangers back from Disney. Power Rangers Samurai has finished filming, and the final episodes should air beginning in the fall and on into 2013. If you go up a few posts, you'll see a post I ...posted yesterday about the next Power Rangers show, Power Rangers MEGAFORCE. It will adapt either Goseiger or Gokaiger...Saban hasn't said which one yet. The series is still going to be filmed in New Zealand, apparently, hopefully with a better caliber of actors. Power Rangers Super Samurai currently airs on Nickelodeon in the US, and various past shows such as PR: Jungle Fury and PR: Dino Thunder air on the NickToons network.

Ah thanks for the quick update. I used to be such a big fan of PR, but the changing of the guard in Turbo turned me off. "in Space" brought me back, but then I limped thru Lost Galaxy only because it still had so many connections to "in Space." After LG ended, I was basically done with the property. I watched episodes sparingly and only when it happened to be the only thing on. When Disney bought it up, I watched even less simply because it wasn't on local channels anymore. I got cable around the time SPD aired, so I caught a couple episodes here and there, but I haven't seen an episode since that ended. Still, it's nice to see that it's still going, even of it is just nostalgia for me.
