Hmmm gotta lay my hands on that......and it also proves he's a better Blade artist than Chaykin, get him there instead, Marvel!

Ok then I hope to see his 'Ronin' one day!

I personally love JRjr's work. Not the most realistic looking characters and whatnot, but who cares? Things just seem to move on the page in a dynamic (dare I say it) Kirby-like way. He gives me enough detail to let my own imagination fill in the blanks. It feels like he doesn't clutter things up by concentrating too much on the finer details, but rather the motion. It's difficult to explain, but I really enjoy it.

That's not to say I don't enjoy other styles. I love Epting, Perez, Garney, Hitch, Mignola and many others. It's just different and importantly, it WORKS.

I also like books coming out on time, so that's a massive plus and big "Thank-you indeed" to you JRjr.

There's enough nitty and gritty in comics these days. Comics and superheroes are larger than life, and for me, JRjr really captures that better than pretty much anyone else out there today.

    Keep it coming I say!

For the love of all that is holy, how do you explain this?

The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!

In other words, what StoneGold said.

JRJR is easily in my top three list of Hulk artists, along with Herb Trimpe and Sal Buscema. He draws an amazing Hulk. And he draws my favorite Spider-Man.

You're one of my favorite comic artists period, JRJR. I can't wait to see World War Hulk.

If we’re talkin’ Storm, that was a bad joke that got way outta’ hand.

Storm had just lost most of her hair and she needed a hairstyle out of what was left. I did a number of portraits, all quite lovely and feminine, thank you very much. As a JOKE, I included a shot of her as Mr. T. You know, the kind of shot where they HAVE to go the other way. Weezie’s response? “They’re going to hang us whichever way we go. Let’s commit the murder.”

I argued it was a joke and a monstrously bad idea but, given my departure following 175 was set prior to beginning my run, my vote didn’t count. So I did what I could with what I had left. I don’t know that Dave ever really forgave me for that.

Musically, no punk for me. After the Blues, what else is there?

My favourite "superhero artist" of all-time, easily.

And he pops up in this very thread? Wow, first Stern over on Gail's board and now this! I wonder if I could summon Chuck Dixon... I'm getting all nostalgic here.

The only thing that bothers me about JRJR's work is the way he draws Mephisto as the big, fat, snake head all the time. He and Texiera. I would love to see him draw the classic Mephisto.

I am glad to see Doom is your favorite Villian to try. Hopefully Marvel will let you draw good Doom story some day. In the Spider-man one he was knocked out the practically the whole time and from what I remember the other times were unimpressive doombots. Unfortunately unless you go the writer/artist route that is completely out of your control.

Thank you for some wonderful comics.

I actuallt like the crappy 80's costumes from the X-men. They looked more like regular clothes from the time than actual costumes.

Romita Jr is my fave Hulk and Spiderman artist of all time.

And nice to see PS here too!! Love his Uncanny run.

I think he would be great on Mighty Avengers.

Wolverine Enemy of the state is very well drawn I don't know the exact issue but Wolverine Vs Daredevil is amazing the artwork is just suits the dark clastophobic setting that fight is in.

See that's what I liked about Jr's style in the 80s, he was able to draw characters with just a few lines. The characters looked less bulky like they do these days, if that makes any sens.

Thanks to you....Now about Mephisto.....I respect the critique of the depiction but I just couldn't draw the devil wearing tights and a cape.....My version came in a nightmare...sorry
