Horror Anime Recommendations

While I was at NYCC, I got this DVD sampler from Manga video containing anime that just licensed for US distribution. One of the animes in it was Tokko and I really enjoyed it. I want to know of any other good horror anime or anime with horror elements in them.

Hellsing is a good, dark vampire anime. It's got allot of gore and violence in it.
Elfen Lied is kind of a sci-fi/horror anime. It's pretty bloody but the characters are good. It does have nudity in it.
There's also Higurashi Kokoro Ni. That's kind of a phsychological, thriller, horror anime, but it's very good.

Yup, HELLSING is a classic. I haven't tried ELFEN LIED yet but plan to.

I'm not familiar with HIGURASHI KOKORO NI but I'll check it out if I see it somewhere.

Devil Lady is from Go Nagai. This guy has invented many genre's in Anime including Horror. You can get it in a complete season set for $50.

I finished watching Elfen Lied and enjoyed very much. I wish it was longer than 13 episodes. I'm to try to find the OVA now.

Your welcome. The Manga of Elfen Lied goes much more in depth and the characters are better developed so check it out if you get the chance.

Hey guys a long time ago I saw this graphic and kind of dark movie having to do with this guy who worked with an organzation where he himself was a black guard . ALso he eventually gets assigned this case to protect this old man (who has these really cool thunder powers by the way) along with a speciial demon body guard whoses this really hot black haired anime chick. Ring any bells anyone??If anyone can name what this movie is please by all means!!! Thanks in advance oh there was also quite a bit of sex in it (the guy himself has sex with this demon spider lady unknowly!)

You should get OVA. It's extremely funny at first (especially the scene with Nana chopping up the vegetables or when she tries using the oven), and even shows a ligher side to Chibi-Lucy's personality as child(if you can believe that). It also elaborates further about Lucy's past, specifically what happened to her after she killed Kouta's father and sister and how she ended up in the Diclonius facility. Though I warn you: it's a very tragic and heartbreaking story.

Pretty much all of Elfen Lied is tragic though.
