Has DC Comics' "Manhunter" found a new lease on life? CBR's own Rich Johnston has the news.

When I saw sales go up almost 10K between #25 and 26, I knew this thing couldn't be ending. For MANHUNTER, that's a huge jump.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if DC solicited #30 as the final issue just to get fans riled up and out in droves buying the book. ;) :p

The past two issues have sold out at my comic store too. How much of it is the book and not the Wonder Woman/Blue Beetle mystery though?

If Manhunter gets saved, it would be the first time in my life that I've been part of a letter campaign in anything (Ok I just sent a quickie post card) that actually worked.

I'm glad the book (apparently) isn't being canceled, but I'm not shocked. I don't think DC would have gone ahead with a third trade paperback if the series was ending. I realize it isn't unheard of to do this, I just don't think they would end the series if there was/is a potential for profit.

I thought it was pretty stupid on DC's part to cancel it before the sales figures had even been made public. While it riled fans up, announcing a book is canned or in threat of being canned isnt a very good way to snare new readers. I'm glad it's back and I hope that DC gives it a year or so, that way Marc doesnt have to continue to write storylines that cant start new subplots for fear they will never be resolved if the book is kicked out from under his feet again.

Manhunter is my favorite book currently being published. I hope it can keep going.

I wouldn't hold out hope for that one. Dwayne knew Firestorm would be cancelled before he can on board to write it.

Didio stopped the questions to note that they've had a change of heart on something - and turned it over to Wayne, who announced that DC will continue to publish Manhunter.

I don't care if DC is playing us or not with the repeated cancellations and uncancellations. As long as the book keeps coming out, I'm happy.

I really dont think this book is that good.The only reason it had a sales bump was cus of the phony blue beetle on the cover.

This is great news for me as a reader.

As a person trying to cut down on comic expenditures, not so good.

Huzzah! This book has been gold storywise. I'm glad to hear maybe it's getting a good readership and not getting canned.
