I don't know. I prefer the restraint he usually shows. I mean, for a while he had all this power, but rarely used most of it, possibly for strategic reasons, possibly because he didn't need to.

Or possibly because he was written too powerful, that he'd just kill everyone without any trouble. ;)

Yeah, in that one instant he showed his power, in all the rest of the series he just stood around, showing his dominance. No one ever did anything to harm him. You are right, he was all about the strategy, if it failed, he sighed and left, he'd got time to try something else.

TAS Apocalypse was practically invincible and immortal.

So what if the X-Men foiled one of his plans? He had all the time in the world that no other being on earth could possibly have.

It wasn't bad. The best aspect if the whole Clan Akkaba and Bloodline stuff.

Yeah, I actually think the Apocalypse vs Dracula mini and the New Excalibur tie-ins were better than Blood of Apocalypse in retrospect. Blood of Apocalypse had a neat premise and really good art (I especially liked how Apocalypse looked) but it again becomes another lame showing for Apocalypse.

He basically runs away after being hit by Pulse (who was a way too convenient plot device) and we haven't even seen him since then. Hopefully another writer will capitalize on Apocalypse's powers better or deals with the whole Celestial situation in a way that makes the character better and more formidable.

With all seriousness. Artists NEEDS to lose Apoc's Hulk-like fatness, much like DC needs to stop making Darkseid so freakingly huge.

The only thing I liked about BoA was the fact that the Avengers actually came to help and stop Apocalypse.

I'm interested in seeing where that is going with Apoc. For the better I hope.
