    Default Cancelled Too Soon!

I find that a lot of the shows that I really LOVE get cancelled long before they deserve to be while crappy mindless lowbrow fare continues seemingly without end (yes According To Jim, I'm looking at you!) So, here are my top 10 shows cancelled before their time. What are yours?

    1. Freaks And Geeks - words cannot express how good this show was. 1 season? Are you kidding me?
    2. Undeclared - This show was hilarious! Worth the watch for the Moral Kombat sequence alone
    3. Wonderfalls - I'm ashamed to admit I have just watched this on DVD and didn't support it on TV. Shame on me!
    4. Arrested Development - 2.5 seasons is not bad, but so much comedy gold was mined in such a short time. It deserved a longer life
    5. Dead Like Me - loved the concept. Loved all the characters
    6. Carnivale - The creator just needed one more season to finish the story! Aaaarrrggghhh!
    7. My So-Called Life - brilliant. The best teen drama EVER!
    8. Point Pleasant - It got terrible reviews, but actually it was very good. If it had continued, the second arc would have been fantastic!
    9. Earth Two - This show was just hitting it's stride when they cancelled it after 1 season
    10. Everwood - It actually had a good run, but it offends me that it was cancelled in favor of the dreadful 7th Heaven!

    1. Arrested Development, since it was on your list, I'll put it first on mine.

    2. The Quest, my first cancellation heartbreak. A group of people were given constests to qualify as a duke or something in another country. Perry King was a guy who had to beat girls off with a stick, there was a feminist who would comically try to use her good looks as a last resort, and so forth.

    3. Daybreak, the most recent. I don't have high speed internet to watch the rest of the series. In fairness, what would be the point of a second season....?

    4. Nowhere Man, I need closure!!! This guy returns to USA and finds he doesn't exist. Even his wife claims no knowledge of him. What did this guy do? Well, he was a photographer...what piz he took I don't think we ever knew...

    5. It's Your Move, Jason Bateman is no stranger to this list. Jason, as a smart, scheming kid got too much fan mail on Silver Spoons and a jealous kid star got him booted from the show. He then became a smart, scheming kid on this show who matched wits with an adult played by the guy who was the Bundy's neighbor.

That's all I can think of right now...

Well im going to say, on having seen 2 episodes and waiting to watch the final 6

Opposite Sex. A premise that writes itself, telling the story of 3 guys who are pioneers at an all girls school. Good actors (the guy that plays Peter petrelli on heroes, Chris "the human torch" evans, and Allison Mack attack, from Smallville) and various other people you've never heard of. Fun goofy comedy/ teenager drama. Always fun.

Angel was cancelled too soon, three years ago this week. It could have gone on for 1-2 more seasons. Damn you WB!

American Gothic. Gary Cole as the Devil who is a sheriff in a small county is just too awesome.
We'd like to wish EZMOHR all the best in his future....ah forget it.

ZING! Yeah, that's kinda what I thought too. But at least The Simpsons has plenty of celeb cameos, right?

Veritas: the Quest A really interesting adventure show, which was killed by the network.

Invasion Better than the over-rated "Lost," in my book. This was a very interesting show, exploring something that was either an alien invasion, or natural evolution, but either way, humanity was in a major fight for survival! There were some interesting similarities between this, and show creator Shaun Cassidy's prior "cancelled too soon," American Gothic.

A great show, with a great cast, and a very interesting premise, that just didn't find its audience.

Tru Calling: The sad thing was, when FOX finally decided to air the six eps from season two, each subsequent one was infinitely better than the one that came before it. Just when you thought they couldn't do anything else with the rewinding day gimmick, they put and new spin on it that offered opportunities for character development just not for her but for Jason Priestley's character. The episode where he was the one who had to save someone, you really felt for him, and it brought his whole mission into question.

And the worst thing about the whole fiasco, FOX just had to burn off six episodes, and what do they do, they pre-empt the final episode to show. . . . .A REPEAT OF THE SIMPLE LIFE?!?!?!? Not to mention their reason for pulling the show was that they didn't want a show with such a dark premise paired up with the O.C. So what took its place? Point Pleasant, a show about the daughter of SATAN!!!

But FOX in general just has an outstanding track record of ditching some of the most fun, innovative genre shows ever to hit television. Anything scheduled on Friday nights, that's pretty much a death sentence for shows like Brimstone, VR5, MANTIS, John Doe, Dark Angel, the list goes on and on.

Not to mention Reunion! It would have been nice just to see the season play out, but oh, no. We gotta cut things off at the halfway point!

How could I forget Dark Angel?!?!?! That totally bumps Everwood out of the top 10 on my list! A great show that developed and changed instead of staying the same. Season 3 would have been outstanding!

    Some that haven't been mentioned:

Futurama - Lets hope it doesn't pull a Family Guy and start coming out with crap episodes.

    Fastlane - Fun, mindless, awesomeness.
