Here's my list of books to pick up this week.

    Dark Horse
    Old Boy Vol 4:
I still ordering this, but I'm not sure why. It's another manga book that I'm kind of interested in, but reading the actual book does nothing for me. Maybe I should stop ordering it. Meh, I'll buy it today any way.

    DC
    52, Week 40:
Getting close to the end now. I hope there's a lot of Black Adam action this week, although I think it's all Lex/Steel stuff. Still consistently great.
Astro City, The Dark Age Book 2 #2(of 4): Yay, new issue of Astro City, always a day to celebrate. Is it me, or does it seem like it's been more than a month since the last issue came out?
Shazam: Monster Society of Evil #1(of 4): Pick of the week!!! It's Jeff Friggin Smith, the man who kept me in comics during the dark times. In color. Drawing superheroes. And Monsters!!! Can. Not. Wait. First one read today.

    DMP
    Junk Vol 1:
I sure hope this one comes today. I know I ordered it once upon a time, and I think I reordered it. It's by Kia Assimiya, whose work I love. I don't know much about it, but I'm here for the creator.

    Fell #7:
Wow, lot's of good books that rarely come out. Nice short mysteries. Man do I wish this book was on a normal schedule.
Pirates of Coney Island #4(of 8): After a sketchy first issue, I've really enjoyed the last two. Interesting art, a fun story, and goofy characters. This is really turning into something special.
Casanova #7: The newsletter I get from my shop has this coming out this week, the the New Comics Release List does not, so I guess we'll find out. End of the first arc, then this great book goes on hiatus. can't wait to see how they wrap this up. Another fun read.

    Marvel
Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears #1(of 6):
In this for the art as well. I liked the last mini these guys did together, but the story felt a little flat. It was the painted art that made me enjoy it. Hoping for more of the same from this.
Iron Man: Hypervelocity #2(of 6): The first issue had an nice twist at the end, well see how it goes. Mostly just want to buy this book so Marvel can keep giving work to Adam Warren, and maybe we'll get a Livewires sequel.
Irredeemable Ant Man #5: Getting back into the series as well. The last few have been pretty good, and this should be a big fight issue, so I should enjoy that.
New Avengers #27: Really looking forward to this for several reasons. 1) Hopefully the book will get back on a normal schedule. Civil War has really killed the momentum of this book. 2) Three words: Leinil Francis Yu. I love, love, love his artwork, plus he seems to be very reliable, so I hope he'll stay on the book for a while. 3) New team members make this even less of a traditional Avengers team, and I love it. Screw the traditionalists, get with the times. If Shazam: MSOE wasn't coming out, this would be first read.
Ultimate Spiderman #105: A perinial favorite. Fall out from the Clone Saga, so this should be a talky issue, but still good. Looking forward to this one as well.

Might pick up Inquest Gamer, since it's only $1.99. The Yu-gi-oh trade that I thought was coming out last week, actually arrives this week, plus I didn't get a copy of XIII in my box last week, but I ordered one, so hopefully I get it this week. Good week, well worth going to the store.

I hope I can resist this. Prestige format is not my favorite.

It shouldn't be too hard to resist. DC should have a trade or hardcover out by summer, and if you really hold out, they may have an Absolute edition somewhere down the line. Me, I can't wait the half hour till I get to go to the store and pick it up.
