    Default She-Ra/Wonder Woman cross-over.

This is something I wrote a while back. In my view, the best cartoon heroine (keep in mind that I'm excluding anime here) of all time is She-Ra. Also in my view, the best comic book heroine (I'm excluding manga here) of all time is Wonder Woman. I noticed that the two had never been crossed over in fanfiction, as far as my searches on the matter could reveal (probably since She-Ra went off the air roughly 20 years ago). So... I saw a chance at a fairly unique fan fic story, and went with it. I'm going to pose the first three chapters soon.

I'm not a DC comics continuity master, so please forgive me if I'm a little bit off on continuity. I'm using Filmation She-Ra, and DC comics Wonder Woman circa late 80s (immediate post-crisis). Since She-Ra is a 80s character, I thought it would be fitting to use an 80s interpretation of Wonder Woman. This Wonder Woman is a reboot of the original, and is just starting to get used to "man's world" (i.e. the DCU Earth outside of her amazons' island paradise). With out further adieu, I present to you Alliance of Liberty (please read and review :) )...

    Chapter 1 - Healing a Stranger

She lay on a soft, yet firm bed, in a room of white marble stone. She was unconscious, and had suffered considerable injury. Outside of her room was one lone guard, while inside she was attended to by a chief healer, and that healer's assistants. Her face looked very serene as she slept, and her tiara reflected the light that bounced off of the white marble stone walls. With a wash cloth drenched in several soothing potions of health, and with magical incantations, the chief healer had undone much of the bruising, blistering, and scaring, that the unconscious heroine had endured. Now, two others of great note walked into the room to discuss the nature of this injured stranger.

"Thank you for coming, Diana." stated Queen Hippolyta, her mother and ruler of Paradise Island, who was garbed in white regal robes and carried a long, golden scepter, "After we retrieved this unknown guest from her crashed vessel of scientific wonder from our shores, we could tell from her attire that she may be someone that you know."

"You're welcome, mother." replied Diana, Themyscira's chief diplomat to Patriarch's world, and a hero in her own right in that world, "However, I do not recognize this fallen woman."

"Really?" asked Queen Hippolyta rhetorically, "She is garbed much like the costumed heroes that you have come to assoicate with, Diana, although her tiara makes me think of the gods moreso than anything known to mortals."

"Yes." responded Diana, looking over the body of the unconscious stranger, "I agree with you there. Her outfit is somewhat similiar to that of Captian Marvel, and perhaps she is of some relation to him. Another possibility is that she is a new champion of the gods. Perhaps a different pantheon than the one that we worship desired their own mortal representative. She does make me think of the Valkries of Norse legend."

"In any event, Diana." stated Hippolyta, "We have to tread very carefully in how we handle this one. I sense great innate magical power within her which gives her strength to rival your own. I must agree with Phillipus... we must soon ascertain if she is friend, or foe."

There was a slight pause after this word of caution.

"Will she awake soon, I wonder?" asked Diana, becoming increasingly intrigued by the woman of mystery laid out in front of her, and allowing her eyes to gaze all about her.

"I believe so." answered Epione, the chief healer of Themyscira, "She appears to have some minor regeneration abilities. Though she is not conscious, her body appears to be healing itself to some degree. In fact, I think that she will be awake in mere moments."

"Excellent." stated Diana with a smile, "I sense a kindred spirit in this fellow young woman. I could even see her making a fitting addition to our amazonian tribe... if that's Ok with you, of course, mother."

"I share your optimism, daughter." replied Hippolyta, "But she could be some enticing trap sent from the likes of Darkseid, or Circe, or even this Lex Luthor that you told me about. We should not let our guard down."

Before Diana could respond to her mother, the fallen warrior woman in the room began to stir, and shifted backwards on her bed. Gingerly moving her right hand to clasp the back of her head, she began to ease her head from the cobwebs of a concussion. Slowly opening her eyes, while softly moaning in pain, she finally spoke, as Epione and her assistants backed away.

"Where... where am I?" asked She-Ra, as her blurred eyes began to focus on the room around her, and her fellow occupants.

"You are on Themyscira, the capitol of Paradise Island." answered Queen Hippolyta with great authority, "I am Queen Hippolyta, and I am the ruling authority of this city-state."

"Themyscira...?" repeated a confused She-Ra, "I know of no such place on Etheria... or Eternia."

"Etheria? Eternia?" mused Wonder Woman under her breath, "Such enchanting names."

"You are not on Etheria, or Eternia, my guest." stated Queen Hippolyta, "My people know of no such lands. Did you intend to come to our planet, or did you reach Earth accidentally?"

"Earth..." mused She-Ra under her breath, sensing that she had heard the name before, "Yes... Earth! This is my mother's world of birth! I have journeyed much farther than I could have imagined, then. Thank you for this information, Queen Hippolyta."

"Diana..." whispered Queen Hippolyta to her daughter, "This woman is clearly an alien to us. She is from an entirely different planet! It may be wise if you were to consult with a person like Green Lantern, with his knowledge of things cosmic, to help us here."

"...No..." reponded Diana with a whisper to her mother, "I think that we can trust this woman. I sense great honesty, and strength, in her words. Let me talk to her, mother."

"Very well." responded Queen Hippolyta in soft whisper, "I'll let you handle the discussion from here, Diana."

Diana was about to speak to She-Ra, before She-Ra interrupted.

"Who is this... Green Latern that you speak of?" asked She-Ra, becoming a little suspicious of her hosts, "Why do you speak in hushed tones around me?"

"Forgive us our very cautious nature..." began Wonder Woman outloud, "May I have your name?"

    "I am She-Ra." she replied.

"She-Ra?" mused Epione under her breath, "Is this woman a mortal champion of the Egyptian pantheon?"

"Egyptian pantheon?" repeated a questioning She-Ra, raising an eyebrow.

"Please, all of you..." stated Wonder Woman, "Stop speaking about our guest below your breath! It's impolite, and she's hearing you anyway."

"I am not your enemy." added She-Ra, standing up, and looking about the room, "Clearly, you have helped nurse me back to health after my ship crashed. For that, I thank you all."

Queen Hippolyta breathed a sigh of relief, and smiled.

"It is good to know that you are a friend, and not an enemy." said Queen Hipplyta.

"Still..." added Wonder Woman, "Where did you come from?"

"I am from Etheria." replied She-Ra, "It is a planet very far away from Earth. We are fighting a war for global liberation from a brutal intergalatic empire known as the Horde."

"I see..." responded Wonder Woman, growing more curious by the moment, "You... engaged your enemy in a battle in space, and that somehow resulted in you crash landing here on Paradise Island?"

"Apparently so." confirmed She-Ra, "A dear friend of mine known as Man-At-Arms designed, and built, a space fighter jet for me to use in a stealth assault on a Horde space station hovering nearby Etheria and helping to provide supplies to the Horde on Etheria. With that spaceship, I attacked the space station, short circuiting it's power couplings, and taking out many of its weapon systems."

"Impressive." smiled Wonder Woman in reply, "You're a soldier like Steve Trevor. Where did you learn to fight in a fighter jet?"

"You could say that I've had some lessons." responded She-Ra with a smile of her own, "However, my greatest enemy... a virtual one-man army by the name of Hordak... was on that space station. He used the transporters on the space station to teleport inside my ship, and we struggled over the controls of my ship, and wrestled with one another. He recklessly began to open fire with laser blasts from his arm cannon, causing the control panel of my ship to explode, which in turn caused the ship itself to spiral out of control. Next thing I knew, I was knocked unconscious, and am now... here, on Themyscria."

"We found your ship a short distance from here, on our shores." stated Queen Hippolyta, "It was a smouldering husk of a vessel, and half of it appeared to be missing. We pryed you out of the ship, and helped to heal you. You were very badly hurt, and injured, though now you appear to be almost completely recovered."

"My sword..." began She-Ra in question, "Do you have it?"

"No... we didn't see any sword." stated Hippolyta.

"Then She-Ra, and I, will go to the crash site to search for it." stated a determined Wonder Woman, "Along the way, let me give you a tour of the wonderful Paradise Island, She-Ra!"

"Thank you, and I accept the invitation." smiled She-Ra, appreciating this quick gesture of friendship, "However, can I have your name? I notice that you aren't dressed like my other hosts here are."

"My name is... Wonder Woman." replied Wonder Woman, "My friends call me Diana, though."

"Ok... Diana." stated She-Ra with hands on her hips, "I can't wait to see part of my mother's world! This should be a great adventure."

Elsewhere on Themyscira, near Doom’s Doorway, however, a far less cordial and tranquil meeting was about to take place.

    Chapter 1 - Healing a Stranger

    [Cont'd]

A smouldering husk of the left side of a crashed space vessel slowly gave way to a personified drill. That drill then transformed into human form. With a deep gash across his leg, and a sliced cheek, this being slowly crawled his way out of the thick foilage of trees, leaves, and grass, cursing his old enemy.

"Blast that She-Ra!" he sneered, "I just know those accursed Eternians helped her out, too, by giving her such a highly advanced stealth vessel! They will pay dearly once I, the mighy Horde General Hordak, gets his hands on them!"

Unknown to Hordak, however, his appearance on Themyscira had managed to catch the attention of a being far more powerful than even he was. This being stood massively tall as he was at least twice the hight of a normal human, and he wore a strong blue suit of armour that covered him from head to toe which would make an Earth historian think of a roman gladiator.

From his place standing in the shade, he sized up the stranger Hordak.

'This mortal...' he thought to himself, 'This mortal is a man of war. He is a General. He lives off of conquest, oppression, and warfare! I have not seen one quite like him in several decades. He himself is a living, breathing weapon. He would be the perfect instrument for my plans!'

Hordak tentatively walked around the surrounding area, taking note of Doom's Doorway.

"Where in the blue blazes am I?!" he asked out loud, looking all around himself wildly, "This place is completely alien to me!"

"And ripe for your conquest." came a deep, penetrating voice from behind him.

Hordak twirled about to face the originator of that voice. His eyes grew larger as he looked at the imposing giant of sorts before him.

"Who are you?!" exclaimed a questioning Hordak.

"I am he who will help you destroy the Amazons, and conquer their Themyscira." he responded, "You are a General, and a man of war. I am the natural object of your worship, for I am Ares... God of War!"

Hordak smiled widely at these words, intuitively knowing that he had found a great ally on this strange, new world. Wonder Woman, and her new friend She-Ra, would soon face a horrific new threat.

    Chapter 2 - Surprise Attack

Wonder Woman had shown She-Ra all around Themyscira, the great capitol of the simply gorgeous and pristine Paradise Island. She-Ra had been greatly impressed by the architechture of the island, finding some similiarities between it and the Eternos capitol that she had visited before. Nonetheless, there was an archaic sense to the white marble walls, elegant pillars of simple structure, and idyllic hard floors.

"Is all of Earth like this?" asked She-Ra out loud.

"No, not at all." answered Wonder Woman honestly, "The fates, or perhaps rather the gods, have brought you to one of the most unique parts of my planet, She-Ra. The outside world is almost a complete contrast to Paradise Island."

"How so?" asked She-Ra, in follow up.

"Well..." began Wonder Woman, "As you may have guessed by now, there are no men in Themyscira. It is inhabited purely by my amazonian sisters, and I. Furthermore, I won't deny that it borrows from an ancient Roman motif, and it is meant to be reflective of magnificent Olympus, home of the gods. Hence, it lacks technology, and science... there are no televisions, or radios, or automobiles, on this island."

"Televisions?" mused She-Ra raising an eyebrow, "Automobiles?"

Wonder Woman smiled widely at this.

"I see that your Etheria may not be a great deal different from my Themyscira." she stated.

"Perhaps not." replied She-Ra with a smile, "Though we thankfully have both genders there... no offense to your people, Wonder Woman."

"...No offense taken, She-Ra." responded Wonder Woman, slightly taken aback by She-Ra's frank nature, "By your words, I take it that you have a male consort back on Etheria?"

"No... well... not really." answered She-Ra, "There are men who I think like me romantically, but I'm undecided over my feelings towards them. Mostly, though, I'm glad to know my father and brother, as well as Bow and other fine men."

"I envy you that way, then, She-Ra." stated Wonder Woman, "I have few close men in my life."

"It isn't a big deal, Diana." replied She-Ra, wanting to comfort her new friend, "Your people appear very free, loving, and peaceful. I envy you that freedom which you enjoy."

"I will help you get back to Etheria, She-Ra." stated Diana, "And... perhaps I can help you bring freedom to your world."

"That is a very generous offer, Wonder Woman." remarked She-Ra, greatly surprised by it, "However, Etheria is not your concern. If you can help me find my sword, and get back to Etheria, that is all that I can reasonably ask of you."

Wonder Woman, in her heart, was a warrior. The idea of a vile intergalatic empire to oppose hence enthralled her. She became increasingly fascinated both with her new friend She-Ra, and also She-Ra's world.

She-Ra, for her part, was pleased to learn new things about her mother's world, and did desire to know more still. Nonetheless, she was determined to get back to Etheria as soon as possible, so as to not leave any of her comrades there worried over her absence. She also wanted to avoid news of her having gone missing reaching Eternia, so as to not bring needless concern and worry to her brother, and father.

The two eventually came to the site where She-Ra had crashed unto Paradise Island. Twisted, and burnt, pieces of shrapnel littered the shore-line, and both She-Ra, and Wonder Woman, began to move them about, searching diligantly for She-Ra's Sword of Protection. After much searching, Wonder Woman found a most wondrous sword buried in the sand.

"A sword with a gem in it..." she stated under her breath, stroking it against her hand, while crouching over, "Simply incredible!"

"Did you find something, Diana?" asked She-Ra, rushing over to talk to her new friend.

"Yes... I believe that I have!" answered Wonder Woman enthusiastically, standing up, "Is this your sword?"

"Yes!" shouted She-Ra joyously in answer, taking the sword out of Wonder Woman's hand, "Thanks so much for your help!"

"It was nothing." replied Wonder Woman with a smile, "I'm just glad that I was able to help you. Now, then, I have a few friends in man's world that can..."

Before Wonder Woman could finish her sentence, though, she heard a loud explosion eminating from back in Themyscira.
"What was that?!" asked Wonder Woman excitedly.

"I have an idea." stated She-Ra, "Let's go Wonder Woman! Your people helped nurse me back to health, and now I will defend them from any attacker that there may be to repay such kindness!"

Wonder Woman took flight, and soared off, much to She-Ra's surprise, while She-Ra was forced to sprint with her sword reclaimed.

'So, she can't fly...' thought Wonder Woman to herself, 'Perhaps I should pick her up, and... No, I have to hurry. Time is of the essence!'

Wonder Woman landed just outside of Themyscira, to find the fallen, and bruised body, of Phillipus, Captian of the Guard of Paradise Island.

"Phillipus!" shouted Wonder Woman to her wounded mentor of sorts, "What is going on?"

"Themyscira is under attack by some... mad demon... and his mechanical warriors, Diana." replied Phillipus with a strained, unsteady voice, reflecting how she had been hurt by the first wave of attacks, "Please help your mother stop them, Diana!"

"I will." stated Wonder Woman with grim determination, rushing into Themyscira, worried over the woman who had trained her, yet more worried still for the fate of her place of birth as a whole.

She found much debris, and rubble, within the capitol, as pillars had been knocked over, and entire sections of roofs had been blasted off. She saw dozens of her amazonian sisters engaged in conflict with fearsome armoured robotic warriors, each standing seven feet tall, and with a glowing red bat emblem on their chests.

"Get them, my new and improved Horde!" shouted a voice that Wonder Woman had never heard before, "Raze this city, and plunder it for our gain! Ares, and I, command you!"

"Yes, mighty one!" came the cold, yet vibrant, mechanical replies of the robots.

Mala, a close friend of Diana's, was locked in a fierce test of strength with one robot, as her fingers were closed tightly against its. These Horde troopers were as much mystical as they were scientific, and they were more effective and stronger than any that Etheria had known before!

"Get away from Mala!" shouted Diana, flying over towards one Horde trooper, and knocking it's head off with a thunderous right cross.

"T-thank you, Diana." stated a shocked and distrubed Mala, "Please help save Themyscira!"

"I will, dear friend." stated Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman then removed her Lasso of Truth from her belt buckle, and swung it high above her head. With it, she then entrapped two Horde troopers at once, causing them to slam violently into one another.

Brutal melee action tore assunder the entire city-state, as more experienced amazonian warriors fought bravely and steadfastly against overwhelming numerical odds, while the more pacifistic amazons were brought low by the siege.

After destroying, dismantling, and subduing, several of these enhanced Horde troopers, Wonder Woman found herself on the recieving end of strong stun beam blasts. She found herself surrounded by a platoon of Horde troopers. A great many blasts she had deflected with her magnificent bracelets, but other blasts managed to get through. Eventually, she collapsed to her knees from the outpouring of so much laser energy striking at her from all directions!

"There are... so many of them!" she cried, while gritting her teeth, "They are so numerous! I need help..."

"Help is here!" came the clarion cry of her new friend She-Ra.

She-Ra made a powerful jump through the air, delivering several devestating kicks to the Horde troopers, resulting in a dominoe effect. However, She-Ra then found herself struck hard from behind by the red hot blunt end of a stun beam.

"Aaarrrggghhh!!!" she cried, as a Horde trooper poked it maliciously into her lower spine, causing her to fall to her hands and knees.

Wonder Woman glared in anger at the Horde trooper in question, and raced towards him, punching a hole straight through his breastplate! She then picked the Horde trooper up, and hurled it several miles away.

"Thank you again, Wonder Woman!" shouted She-Ra, as Wonder Woman held out her hand to She-Ra, to help lift her new ally from off the ground.

"Thank you, She-Ra!" shouted a smiling Wonder Woman in reply, "I was in dire straits before you arrived!"

However, their shared thanks and happiness was fleeting, as a snorting laughter ascended like a trumpet from nearby.

"I'd recognize that disgusting laugh anywhere!" stated She-Ra, turning to face where the laugh was coming from.

"What is it?" asked Wonder Woman, "Is it a pig demon?"

"No, it's much, much worse..." answered She-Ra, preparing herself for battle.

Then, She-Ra and Wonder Woman saw a most horrific sight rolling towards them through the trampled alleys of Themyscira on tank tracks. This being was a large, massive, tank from the waist down. From the waist up, he had cannons and guns of a wide variety of designs and potency jutting out of him. He looked simply ghastly... like the personification of war itself.

"I am Hordak!" he snarled, with his pale, ashen white face, complete with a rifle chamber pointing out just over his right eye, sending chills up Wonder Woman's spine, and causing She-Ra's pulse to race, "I have been empowered as never before by this being called Ares. Together, we will conquer new lands for the Horde! The first land to fall will be Themyscira! Prepare to finally fall before my unbridled might, She-Ra!"

She-Ra, and Wonder Woman, prepared themselves for a battle against the imposing Hordak, while Ares the God of War channelled much of his power through his new instrument of carnage!

    Chapter 3 - Desperation Teleportation

She-Ra stared at Hordak with fierce anger in her eyes, while trying to formulate an effective attack to deal with him given how he was clearly more powerful than before. Wonder Woman, for her part, soared once more into action, wanting to stop Hordak as soon as possible!

Like a human torpedo, with both arms outstretched and ending in two powerful fists, Wonder Woman struck against Hordak with incredible force! She managed to push Hordak backwards a great deal, as a disoriented Hordak struggled to adjust to the blazing speed of his new enemy. Through building after building after pillar after pillar, Wonder Woman slammed Hordak against, simply dazzling him with her combination of acceleration and power. Wonder Woman's assault, though seemingly impulsive, was not with out a touch of ingenuity. She wanted Hordak outside of Themyscira, to cut down on the amount of devastation that he would bring her people as much as possible. Sure enough, she had finally managed to push the giant mechnical monster outside of the capitol of Paradise Island, and she then hurled him at the side of a hard crystal formation.

Hordak was dazed, and confused, though relatively unharmed. Wonder Woman's attack was exceptional, but Hordak was now powered by Aries, God of War. With that power, he was almost invulnerable. As Wonder Woman leapt back, and assumed a defensive posture to ascertain how effective her opening gambit had been, she was troubled to see a smirking Hordak slowly come to his feet.

"You are indeed very mighty, and swift, amazon." admitted Hordak, rising to his feet, as he was back in his least altered form, though strangely standing an imposing ten feet tall, "However, I have been greatly empowered... and I was very powerful even before I recieved such a blessing! I am now a Lord of Conquest, and you can not hope to stand against me!"

Hordak formed his right arm into a gigantic cannon, and shot a blast directly at Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman crossed her bracelets together to withstand the blast, and while this manuever had helped, she had nonetheless felt the brunt of great force pushing against her. With an aura of flame all about her, she was sent spiraling backwards, crashing through a tree, and landing uncomfortably. She was hurt.

Hordak snorted in glee over his attack.

A harshly stunned Wonder Woman gingerly began to rise to her feet, but while she did so, Hordak began to actually levitate in the air. With a most wicked grin spread across his face, and arms and hands gesturing in mystical ways, he began to seemingly use telekinetic ability to lift large, heavy pieces of Paradise Island's terrain into the air! Each piece was about the size of a human, and there were six in all being held in place by the malevolent Hordak.

"You want to eat up some more damage and pain, huh, amazon?" asked Hordak in joyous mock, "Then enjoy these gifts! Ha ha ha ha!"

With that, he began to throw these large pirces of terrain against Wonder Woman! Wonder Woman swung a careening punch at the first piece, smashing it into smithereans! The second piece she managed to push away with another desperate swing of her fist! The third piece she ducked. The fourth piece she used her feet to deflect.

The fifth piece struck against her body violently, leaving her lips busted open, and her body bruised in two other places, and aching. Hordak's multifaceted battle with her at proven too much, and Wonder Woman collapsed to the ground once more.

"Not bad!" admitted Hordak, "You managed to take out the first four that I expertely threw at you! However, the fifth clearly left its mark, and the sixth will end this fight! Die, amazon!"

Hordak, with some sort of mental control, hurled the sixth large piece of terrain at Wonder Woman with lethal intent. It flew at her with great velocities... only to be smashed into a thousand pieces by the fist of She-Ra!

"Lave my new friends alone, Hordak!" she screamed at him.

"You!" he snarled in reply, greatly displeased by She-Ra leaving his plans undone yet again, "Why must you always get in the way of my plans, She-Ra?! No matter, though. I'm now more than powerful enough to finish off both you, and your new amazon friends!"

With that, Hordak's body once more became a visibly jarring mess of cannons, guns, missile launchers, and rays, protruding out of almost every square inch of his flesh! Only his face remained unaltered. Several blasts, and shots, were made simutaneously, as cannon balls, offensive energy shots, bullets, and missiles, all began to fly at She-Ra at once!

"Sword to shield!" she cried in desperation, quickly moving her shield into place, in front of herself, and Wonder Woman's fallen form.

Simply defeaning sounds of used weaponry create a cacophany of wave after wave of explosions to rock She-Ra's head. She had not seen such power, arrayed in such incredible diversity and detail! She knew that as a shield that her Sword of Protection would hold. Nonetheless, she could not defeat Hordak while both her, and Wonder Woman were pinned down.

Wonder Woman slowly began to stir, the cobwebs in her head disintegrated by the sounds of Hordak's relentess assaults crashing against She-Ra's shield. She gritted her teeth, and released a soft moan, betraying how hurt she was.

"Wonder Woman..." stated a concerned She-Ra, "You're in need of a healer!"

"Yes..." replied Wonder Woman, "But it doesn't matter. I can't let Themyscira fall to that monster! I must push on."

"Please wait..." stated She-Ra, "Let us stay here, and allow Hordak to waste whatever new power that he has gained through useless attacks on my shield. We will win that battle of attrition, Diana!"

"I wish that I shared your assessment, She-Ra..." admitted Wonder Woman, "But I do not. Hordak has been empowered by the God of War himself... Aries! Can even your shield hold up against such godly might?"

"I... I don't know." replied She-Ra honestly, as her joints and muscles began to strain mightily against the pulsating force of Hordak's rutheless assault, "But rushing against him is an unquestionably fruitless course as well! Especially given your current condition, Diana."

"We have to do something, She-Ra!" pleaded Diana with her, "I deeply appreciate your concern over my well being, but I... wait! Look!"

    Chapter 3 - Desperation Teleportation

    [Cont'd]

Suddenly, an experienced amazon warrior of untold ages emerged from out of the dust and debris of Hordak's scorched earth manueverings. That amazon warrior was garbed in magically enhanced golden armour, and pierced through Hordak's arm with the Sword of Hephestus!

Hordak screamed from the excruciating pain that he now felt, as he swatted about in vain at the skillfully evasive Queen Hippolyta!

"Is that..." began She-Ra in question, "Is that your mother, Queen Hippolyta?"

"Yes." replied Wonder Woman, beaming in pride in spite of her injuries, "She is truly glorious right now."

"Agreed." stated She-Ra, "And she has bought us the time that we need! Try to hold yourself still, Diana."

She-Ra gently touched Diana's busted lip with one hand, while finding a bruise on her side with her other hand, with her shield now lodged in place. Diana was surprised by her new friend touching her like this, but had grown to implicitly trust She-Ra. Diana felt soothing energies surge forth through her entire body. She felt reinvigorated.

"You..." began Wonder Woman, "You are a healer!"

"One of the gifts of Grayskull, thankfully, Wonder Woman." smiled She-Ra in confirmation, "I should have you fully healed in a few seconds."

With the healing procedure complete, the two warrior women stood up, with She-Ra taking hold of her shield, and changing it back into the Sword of Protection. Wonder Woman watched her mother fighting, and wanted to join her in battle against Hordak immediately... but hesitated, suspecting that She-Ra may have a more effective plan.

"Thank you for healing me, She-Ra." stated Wonder Woman, forcing a smile to her alien friend, as she was greatly troubled by the scene of brutal warfare all about her, "However, unless you have an idea, I will be joining my mother in combat against Hordak. It may be a vain struggle, yes, but I will not..."

"Wait!" came a voice eminating from out of the gem in She-Ra's sword.

"Who is that?!" asked a startled Wonder Woman.

She-Ra allowed her sword to float out of her hand, and sure enough, she saw the image of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull coming through the gem of her sword.

"I am the Sorceress of Eternia, mighty hero of Earth." answered the Sorceress, "And there is but one way to stop Hordak!"

"What is that, Sorceress?" asked She-Ra.

"I will use the full store of my energies to create a giant portal back to Etheria directly behind Hordak!" answered the Sorceress, "Then, you and Wonder Woman will both be needed to push him through it. Once cut off from his power source of Ares..."

"He will revert back to normal!" shouted She-Ra in joy, "A brilliant plan, Sorceress!"

"And just in time, too!" screamed Wonder Woman, as her mother had finally been struck by the giant Hordak's massive fist, sending her flying several miles away.

Through making some alterations to his form, Hordak managed to close the cuts that he had endured at Hippolyta's hands and sword.

"These amazons are a problematic bunch!" he shouted, "No wonder Aries wants them enslaved, if not eliminated! Still, now that I've taken care of that old hag, I can... huh?"

Hordak suddenly heard magical energy making a serene celestial sound behind him, like water rushing over crystalized landscape. He turned his body around, and hence saw a giant portal leading back to Etheria.

"A portal leading back to Etheria!" he exclaimed in surprise, "And one now as large as I am. Is this Aries' doing? Why would he want me to leave Themyscira before my work here is done?"

"He's not the one who wants you gone, Hordak!" shouted She-Ra, sprinting towards Hordak's legs.

"We are!" added Wonder Woman, soaring at Hordak's shoulder blades.

The force of these two incredibly strong women pushing against Hordak was more than he could brace for. With two large pushes, Hordak, as well as She-Ra and Wonder Woman, were sent into Etheria! Themyscira had been saved, but what would become of Diana, now that she was on She-Ra's world?

    Chapter 4 - Ideological Conflict

In a clearing within Whispering Woods, on the planet of Etheria, a gigantic portal appeared out of nowhere, much to the surprise of the twiggets in the area. Out of that portal came the tumbling bodies of a gigantic Hordak pushed by She-Ra, and She-Ra herself. Soaring above, after releasing Hordak from her own push, was Wonder Woman.

She-Ra slowly came to her feet, and backed away from Hordak, with Wonder Woman landing next to her. Hordak moved from off of his back, and into a kneeling position, with his eyes pouring forth with a bright red hazey gaze of wrath. It was enough to cause the twiggets who were shocked at the sight to race off in trembling fear.

"You may have saved your precious Themyscira, amazon!" he exclaimed, as he began to prepare himself for an attack, "But your interference will result in the demise of both you, and my great enemy She-Ra! Rest in the knowledge, She-Ra, that with your death this day, Etheria will soon be entirely mine! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!"

With that, the great looming Hordak began to form his right arm into a truly intimidating cannon of pulsating cosmic energy! Unfortunetly for Hordak, with the portal between Earth and Etheria now closed, he was cut off from the power supply granted to him by Aries.

As such, right in the middle of his attack, he began to shrink... and shrink... and shrink... back to his normal human form. Hence, instead of a truly awesome blast of power that neither She-Ra, or Wonder Woman, could hope to deflect being foisted upon them, they faced instead a much more standard Hordak attack.

With a slightly smug grin on her face, She-Ra casually deflected the blast aside simply by holding out her sword in a defensive posture.

"What?!" sneered a questioning Hordak, startled by the ineffectiveness of his blast, as well as staring down at his own reduced form, "How can this be?!"

"We're back on Etheria now, Hordak." answered She-Ra, "Which effectively cuts you off from Aries!"

"And apparently..." added in Wonder Woman with a grin, "With out Aries helping you, you're far less of a foe!"

"Bah!" roared Hordak in somewhat delusional defiance, "This is but a minor setback. Since I'm now back on Etheria, I'll be heading back to the Fright Zone... where I'll plan my inevitable conquest of all of Etheria!"

With that, Hordak changed into his rocket form, and blasted off for the Fright Zone, instinctively knowing when discretion was the better part of valor.

"Oh no you don't!" shouted Wonder Woman, beginning to take flight again, "We will not let you go that easily, despot! We'll..."

Much to Diana's surprise, however, she felt the firm grip of She-Ra's hand upon her arm holding her back.

"No, Wonder Woman..." stated She-Ra calmly, "There has been enough violence this day. Let him go."

Diana shot a look of surprise at She-Ra, as she capitulated to She-Ra's request, and came back down to a standing position, causing She-Ra to relax her grip, and then remove her hand entirely from Diana's arm.

"But... why, She-Ra?" asked a perplexed Wonder Woman, "He is a butcher, and a tyrant! He brought great damage, and hurt, to Themyscira! From what you told me, he has done ever worse to your own planet. Should we not persue him, and eliminate the threat posed by him, while we can press our advantage in numbers?"

"I am not a killer, Wonder Woman." answered She-Ra, raising an eyebrow.

"I... I am not suggesting that we kill him, She-Ra..." stated Wonder Woman in reply, "Such an action may be unavoidable in war, of course, but ideally we would take him captive..."

"Ideally..." argued She-Ra in turn, "He'll eventually see the error of his ways, and voluntarily become a force for good."

Wonder Woman was taken aback by this line of reasoning, and displayed this through her temporarily awkard mannerisms. She immediately thought of how herself, and her fellow powered heroes of Earth, were rarely so optimistic.

"She-Ra..." began Wonder Woman softly, but with some lack of ease, "You're fighting a war for global liberation from an intergalactic empire, going by your own words to me before. Casualties, sadly, are an element of any such war. So is taking prisoners at the very least!"

"I beg to differ." responded She-Ra calmly, "What would you say if I told you that one of the three leading Horde members on this planet willingly defected to Etheria's Great Rebellion less than two years ago?"

"I would be... impressed." replied Wonder Woman honestly.

"Then there's someone I'd like you to meet." stated She-Ra with a smile, "I will retrieve her to meet with you shortly..."

    Chapter 4 - Ideological Conflict

    [Cont'd]

Suddenly, a very gallant looking man on horseback rode in on the scene of this tense conversation between She-Ra, and Wonder Woman.

"She-Ra!" shouted Bow, as his horse slowly trotted towards She-Ra and Wonder Woman, "I heard from some very frightened twiggets that you were back... but so was a giant version of Hordak! It's good to see that you're Ok! We've been terribly worried about you, as you've been missing for several days!"

"It's good to see you too, Bow!" exclaimed She-Ra cheerfully at the sight of her old ally, and friend, "Hordak is now... back to normal, and retreated to the Fright Zone. I'm glad to be back here on Etheria!"

With that, Bow dismounted his steed, and quickly embraced She-Ra with a short hug. As she disembraced from Bow, she politely gestured an open hand towards Wonder Woman, causing Bow to focus on her.

"This is my new friend Wonder Woman." stated She-Ra, "She was very helpful to me while I was on Earth."

"Earth?!" piped up a questioning Bow.

"Yes." answered Wonder Woman with a smile of cordial greeting towards Bow, "She-Ra was temporarily stranded on her mother's planet of birth. With the help of... the Sorceress of Eternia, I believe it was... She-Ra and I now find ourselves on this rather lovely planet of Etheria. By the way... you can call me Diana."

"She-Ra's mother's planet of birth..." stated a bewildered Bow underneath his breath, wondering what to make of that statement.

"Aaahhh... don't worry about it, Bow." chimed in She-Ra with a bit of nervousness, and a smile, "You, and I, should introduce Diana to the rest of the Great Rebellion!"

"Yes!" exalimed Wonder Woman with a broad grin, "I look forward to meeting the brave warriors who fight to liberate their planet from a brutal galaxy spanning regime!"

"That shouldn't be difficult to arrange." replied Bow with a pleasant smile, as he turned his attention from Wonder Woman to She-Ra, and now with a much more serious look, "However... Adora is still missing. There remains the matter of finding her."

"Right." responded She-Ra, "Bow... why don't you introduce Diana to the Great Rebellion back in Whispering Woods while... I search for Adora?"

"That would be my pleasure..." stated Bow, wanting to take advantage of an opportunity to appear as a chivalrous gentleman given how clumsy his first meeting with Wonder Woman had gone so far, and hence taking Diana's hand with one of his, and placing a kiss upon it.

Diana was bemused by the spectacle, and flattered by how this Bow was clearly taking a liking to her.

"While I appreciate the... friendliness of Bow here..." began Diana with a flirtatious grin directed towards him, "Are you sure that you won't need any help in finding this... Adora, She-Ra?"

"Oh, I don't think that I'll have much trouble finding her." answered She-Ra, holding back a chuckle, "You two have some fun."

"After you then, dear Diana..." stated Bow while making a slight bow, extending an invitation by body language to Diana to take a seat upon his horse.

"You sure that you wouldn't rather fly...?" mused Diana with a mischevious smile, and a raised eyebrow.

"Fly?" asked an once more bewildered Bow.

"Want me to show you?" asked Wonder Woman with a playful grin.

"Why... sure!" exclaimed an enthusiastic Bow.

With that, Wonder Woman picked Bow from off the ground, and seated him upon his horse, and then picked up his horse above her head, and began to take flight while carrying both Bow and horse!

Bow made a look of complete shock, causing She-Ra to laugh loudly.

"It's good to see that Bow and Diana are getting on so well together." she stated, "Now, however, I must contact the Sorceress to make sure that all is Ok on Eternia..."

    Chapter 4 - Ideological Conflict

    [Cont'd]

With that, She-Ra focused intently on the jewel embedded within her Sword of Protection.

"Hello again, She-Ra..." came the mysterious voice of the Sorceress, as she began to appear as a magical holographic image within the jewel itself, "I trust that you're Ok, and Hordak is taken care of for now?"

"Yes, Sorceress." answered She-Ra in a solemn tone, "And I thank you dearly for your help."

"No problem, my child." responded the Sorceress.

"Now, about my recent absence..." continued She-Ra.

"You were missing for several days, She-Ra." interjected the Sorceress in answer, "Your family was worried about your absence, but do not fret... I have notified them that She-Ra was found on Earth, and will now comb Etheria for the missing Eternian Princess Adora . Adam, knowing better, has already taken to reassuring the King and Queen that Adora will be 'found' shortly... though you may want to contrive some sort of story to explain Adora's absence, She-Ra."

"True..." replied She-Ra, beginning to think of what compelling explanation she could give for Adora's missing status, "In the meantime... I am not sure how to approach my new friend Diana. There is much that I like about her, but..."

"She is less... diplomatic than you?" asked the Sorceress knowingly.

"You could say that..." answered She-Ra, "I think that she could be a boon to the Great Rebellion... though I have no right to ask for her help on a long-term basis. Still... she sounded quite invigorated at the thought of aiding me in the fight against the Horde when I discussed the matter with her on Earth."

"Let Wonder Woman decide what she will do, She-Ra." was the counsel offered by the Sorceress, "I am... confidant that you can reign in your new ally if necessary, and restrain her from being overly... harsh... in combat."

"I thank you for your advice, Sorceress." replied She-Ra with a smile, "And thank you so much for all your help!"

"Anytime, dear child of Eternia..." were the final words of the Sorceress as she faded away from She-Ra's Sword of Protection.

"Now..." stated She-Ra, as she placed her sword back in its sheath, "It is time to find Adora!"

Wonder Woman's impact on Etheria was already beginning to be felt. Still, the full ramifications of her presence there would bring surprises for all...

    Chapter 5 - Jubilant Reception

"Wow..." commented Bow, as he was greatly enjoying the sensation of rushing wind blowing against his hair, "This is much more enjoyable than my standard mode of travel!"

"I'm glad that you approve." replied Wonder Woman, beneath both Bow and his horse, as she flew them towards the shimmering royal city of Brightmoon, "It must be quite breathtaking for you to take in a bird's eye view of that stunning palace, as well!"

Diana was impressed by the majestic and sparkling Brightmoon palace, as she angled Bow, his horse, and herself in a downward's motion towards it.

"Indeed I am..." replied Bow under his breath, before aiming his voice downwards with a shout, "By your words, Diana, I trust that it most be breathtaking for you too!"

"I've seen many wondrous buildings, cities, and halls, Bow..." responded Wonder Woman, "While your Brightmoon does not exceed those, it certainly deserves to be listed amongst them."

Seemingly from out of nowhere, a pinkish streak of light darted upwards towards Wonder Woman! Wonder Woman was greatly alarmed by this quickly approaching streak of light, which in turn caused her to come to a sudden stop.

The pinkish streak of light, in turn, came to a stop right in front of Wonder Woman as well, and showed herself to be none other than Glimmer!

"Hi there!" squeeked Glimmer cheerfully, "Wow... you can fly like me, and be very strong like She-Ra! Who are you?"

Wonder Woman, though stunned at the sight of this young spunky girl of magical power, was nonetheless about to return with a pleasant greeting of her own. Alas, she was prevented from doing so by the alarmed groans of a Bow in free fall.

"Bow!" cried Glimmer, as she turned about to gaze upon his rapidly descending form.

Wonder Woman's sudden halt was more than Bow was able to brace for, causing explosive kinetic force to send him flying off of the seat of his saddle! Thankfully, Wonder Woman, Bow, and Bow's horse, were all relatively close to the ground below when Glimmer made her halting appearance, and hence Bow simply ended up with a slightly sore back and bruised shins from crash landing into a pile of hay near a market square.

After grimacing over the sound of Bow's crash, Wonder Woman began to talk to Glimmer.

"I don't know who you are, stranger..." stated Wonder Woman with a slight tone of annoyance towards Glimmer, and a rasied eyebrow, "If you are some pestering sprite like Mr. Mxyzptlk, I am in no mood for games. If you are a friend, however... we best attend to Bow."

"Yeah... you're right." replied Glimmer with just a tinge of sadness, realizing how careless her flashy greeting of Wonder Woman had been, "We better make sure that Bow's Ok!"

Glimmer, and Wonder Woman, both came to a soft landing next to where Bow had endured a far less gentle descent, and with Wonder Woman placing Bow's horse down carefully. Glimmer helped Bow from out of the pile of hay, with Bow dusting himself off, and holding an angry look on his brow.

"Of all the crazy stunts, Glimmer...!" he exclaimed in displeasure at her, after sweeping away as much hay as he could from his clothes.

"I know..." replied Glimmer dejectedly, "I'm sorry. Still... when mother told me that She-Ra had brought a new, powerful friend back to Etheria with her, I couldn't wait to rush out to meet that new friend!"

"I see..." chimed in Wonder Woman somewhat uneasily, "And your mother... who is she?"

"Who's Glimmer's mother?!" exclaimed a startled Bow in question, "Why, Diana, she is the Queen of Brightmoon!"

"That's right!" piped up Glimmer joyously, "Please come with me... Diana, correct? I can't wait to introduce you to my mother Queen Angella!"

"I look forward to meeting with her." replied Wonder Woman, taking upon herself a tone of diplomacy, given how she was about to meet an alien dignitary.

    Chapter 5 - Jubilant Reception

    [Cont'd]

Still, in spite of Wonder Woman's diplomatic grace, she found herself the object of much commotion. The townsfolk of Whispering Woods who had gathered in the markets of Brightmoon began to chatter with much clamour and noise over the appearance of this star-spangled stranger from another world. Some gingerly pointed towards her, and struck up conversations with those standing next to them about who this gorgeous woman of mystery may be. Wonder Woman felt some discomfort over so much attention being forwarded her way, as she chatted uneasily with Bow, and Glimmer, as they walked towards the entrance of the Brightmoon palace. Nonetheless, Bow and Glimmer's fervent reassurances to her that the people of Whispering Woods are good people, who are merely shocked at the sight of a colourfully attired newcomer, silenced her fears concerning her somewhat unruly hosts.

Eventually, Wonder Woman, flanked by the pleased Bow, and the beaming Glimmer, appeared before Queen Angella.

"Good day, your majesty." stated Wonder Woman, quickly yet gracefully bowing before her on one knee, "I thank you for your... exuberant reception of me into your kingdom. Many of your champions within the Great Rebellion have already become my friends, so I am very pleased to meet with you."

"There's no need to be so formal, my guest." replied Queen Angella, arising from out of her throne, "As you are a friend of She-Ra's, as well as my daughter's, please feel free to use more... relaxed language while in my palace!"

"Thank you, Queen Angella." responded Diana with a slight grin, and coming to an upright standing position, making eye contact with the Queen, "May I ask how you, and your daughter, knew of my arrival on Etheria?"

"Due to how both She-Ra, and Adora, were missing for several days..." began Angella in addressing her answers towards Wonder Woman, "I started to make use of my magical abilities to open windows of sorts on various locations through out Etheria. These windows enabled me to keep a close, and almost constant, eye on many places where She-Ra, or Adora, may be. Then, much to my pleasant surprise, one such window showed me the arrival of you on Etheria, and with She-Ra with you!"

"Yes, we're so glad to have She-Ra back!" exclaimed Glimmer, "We've missed both her, and Adora, dearly!"

"I only hope that She-Ra finds Adora soon!" added in Bow.

"She has, Bow!" came a voice that caused great adrenaline rushing excitment in both Bow, and Glimmer, as the originator thereof earnestly pushed aside the gaudy doors to make her entrance within the royal throne room of Birghtmoon.

"Adora!" they both cried, as they rushed over to hug the Great Rebellion's leader.

Adora giggled slightly over the profoundly warm greeting extended to her by her old allies and friends.

"We're so relieved that you're back, Adora!" exclaimed Bow with a smile.

"Yes!" added in Glimmer with a shout, "What happened to you?"

"I recieved word from She-Ra that Shadow Weaver may be piecing together an army of grotesque animated creatures to wage war with the Rebellion with." began Adora in calm and carefully concocted answer, "Since She-Ra had already committed herself to attacking a Horde space station with Man-At-Arms' stealth vessel, she requested that I investigate the matter further. As such, I went on a secret reconaissance mission into a very remote region of Etheria. Thankfully, I found no such grotesque army being raised against us, but I did fall prey to an unknown Horde outpost. I was kept prisoner there for several days, as they were awaiting the return of the missing Hordak to determine what to do with me. Thankfully, She-Ra found me, and completely destroyed the outpost, and all of the robotic Horde troopers stationed there!"

"I hope that your captors didn't treat you too harshly, Adora." stated Bow, "However, I am at least relieved that this vile plot of Shadow Weaver turned out to be nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumour!"

"You and me both, Bow!" continued Adora with a broad smile, "Now then... She-Ra told me that there was a... Diana... that she wanted me to speak with..."

"I am probably the person who She-Ra was refering to, Adora." stated Wonder Woman in a friendly tone, moving over to meet her with an outstretched hand.

Adora shook it with great eagerness.

"It's good to meet you, Diana!" exclaimed Adora with a mischevious grin, enjoying the act she was putting on to some degree, "She-Ra told me so much about how you, and her, fought and defeated Hordak!"

"I am pleased to hear that." replied Diana, "However, She-Ra did not tell me much about you, Adora. I take it that you are a member of the Great Rebellion?"

"A member?!" piped up Bow in rhetorical question, "Why, Adora is the leader of the Great Rebellion, Wonder Woman!"

"A humorous turn of events to say the least!" interjected Glimmer playfully, "Considering that Adora is really an Eternian Princess, and a former Horde Force Captain!"

"Former Horde Force Captain..." stated Wonder Woman under her breath, and to no one in particular, "Are you the Horde defector that She-Ra told me about?"

"I guess that I probably am!" replied Adora with a grin, "Is that... something you'd like to discuss with me about, Diana?"

"Yes... yes it is!" answered Diana with much enthusiasm, "Queen Angella... Princess Glimmer... Bow... would you mind if I met with Adora privately... assuming that it's Ok with you as well, Adora."

"I'd love to talk to you privately, Diana." responded Adora with a friendly smile.

"Then it's fine with the rest of us." stated Queen Angella, "Isn't that right, Bow and Glimmer?"

"I don't have a problem with it." answered Bow, "I could use a nap anyway, after today's exciting events!"

"Well... I was hoping to get to know you better, Wonder Woman..." stated Glimmer with a touch of dejection, "But... I guess that can wait for tomorrow. I hope that you, and Adora, have a nice chat!"

With that, Adora, Bow, Glimmer, and Wonder Woman, all made their exit from the Brightmoon palace, and their ranks were split in three. Bow went to his bed chambers in the Brightmoon palace after checking back with his horse who he had left in the Brightmoon stables. Glimmer decided to take in a small circus show that was performing at a theater in Brightmoon. Adora, and Diana, meanwhile, walked towards Adora's room.

Wonder Woman was enjoying this personal adventure of sorts that she now found herself on. She was pleased to make Adora's acquaintance, but wonderred where She-Ra may be. Something seemed... slightly out of place to her. Nonetheless, she looked forward to discussions with a fellow Princess who had held high standing in both sides of the Etherian conflict. Many revelations awaited her therein.

    Chapter 6 - Revolutionary Requests

Adora led Diana into her fairly small, yet quaint, room within the larger Brightmoon palace. Nonetheless, the room was immaculate reflecting the militaristic value of cleanliness and neatness that had been imparted upon Adora during her days of advancement within the Horde ranks. There were two plush chairs in the room, on either site of a small wooden table with red draperies hung upon it. Adora invited Diana to sit with her there, and earnestly began a conversation with her.

"Well, Diana..." began Adora, seeking to break the proverbial ice, "What do you think of Etheria, and the Great Rebellion, so far?"

"Etheria is a very beautiful planet, Adora." answered Diana, "Your forests, and your skies, are crisp and lush. The air carries with it a most enchanting fragrance. The Etherians, however..."

"Are a bit too excitable?" interjected Adora with a knowing question, and a playful smile, "Yes, Diana, I can see why you would think so. Please keep in mind that they have seen precious few like yourself before, and many are still left psychologically intoxicated from something akin to a meaningful freedom that was not too long ago hard fought, and won, from the Horde."

"Yes." stated Wonder Woman in agreement, "Brightmoon is clearly free from Horde control."

"Unfortunetly, maintaining that freedom requires constant readiness." replied Adora, with a grim countenance, "The Horde has made numerous attempts to recapture this territory that we have come to enjoy a sense of friendliness, and liberty, within. The Great Rebellion has had to extend its resources mightily to merely maintain what we have, making it difficult to mount much of an attempt to liberate other lands that remain under the Horde's imperial boots."

"I will change that." responded Wonder Woman, with a strong sense of determination and purpose to her voice.

"Are you sure?" asked Adora, in completely honesty, "Are you absolutely positive that you wish to do that, Diana? Etheria is not your world. You have already been of great, invaluable aid to She-Ra, and hence the Great Rebellion as a whole, and I thank you from the very depths of my heart for that."

"I was told that you are an Eternian Princess..." began Diana in reply, with a slight grin, "Hence, is it right for you to consider Etheria your world as well? Indeed, what lead you to become a former Horde Force Captain, and then later a leader of the other side of the conflict which rages upon Etheria?"

"That..." answered Adora, preparing herself to divulge a very lengthy explanation, "Is a very long story, Diana. However, you do have a right to know, particularly since She-Ra wanted me to show you how even the highest ranking of soldiers within a tyrannical regime can know meaningful redemption."

With that, Wonder Woman began to listen intentively, and with great awe, to the famous story of how Adora came to know the truth about the Horde, and became the leader of a growing, passionate force driven to bring freedom, and eventually just governance, to all of Etheria. Of course, there was some dishonesty to Adora's retelling as it was essential for her to maintain her secret identity from Diana, at least for now. As for She-Ra's mother being of Earth, Adora told a complete fabrication of how an Eternian space explorer came to Earth, married an Earth woman with whom he fathered a child, and brought both wife and child back to Eternia with him. Adora also told of her brother's role in her redemption, and of Broom, Kowl, Madame Razz, and Swift Wind, all of whom Diana had yet to meet. All in all, Diana was profoundly impressed, and moved, by Adora's story.

    Chapter 6 - Revolutionary Requests

    [Cont'd]

"You were kidnapped... as a child." she stated with great softness and sweetness, "And raised under a brutal warlord. You have my deepest sympathies, Adora."

"While I appreciate your care and concern, Diana..." began Adora in reply, "I do not need pity. I have a wonderful family, and many great friends. I am happy, Diana... and I want you to be happy as well. That's why I only want you to fight alongside She-Ra, myself, and the Great Rebellion on Etheria, if you are truly willing to leave your magnificent Themyscira and amazonian tribe, and the Earth as a whole, behind... and still know happiness in your life. I will not ask you to make the same sacrifice that I have made."

"Yet, you did make that sacrifice, Adora." spoke Diana in a deeply respecful tone of voice, "You could know an easy, peaceful, pleasurable, and sheltered existence as Princess of Eternia. Instead, you seek to undo the wrongs that you helped to commit, and to free a world that you were not born into. Your life... is inspirational, Adora. I would appreciate it if a message could be sent to my mother back on Earth that I am fine on Etheria... but I am prepared to leave the Earth behind until Etheria is completely free!"

Adora was touched by these words of camaraderie, and clapsed one of Diana's hands with both of her's.

"Words can not properly convey how thankful I am to have your impassioned support, Diana." stated Adora solemnly, "However... there are two conditions to us accepting you into the ranks of the Great Rebellion."

"What are they?" asked Wonder Woman, eager to seal the agreement, and arrangement.

"One is that you must pledge an oath to me that you will kill no flesh and blood enemy that we fight against." stated Adora, "You can destroy robotic Horde troopers, but never living breathing people who fight for the Horde."

"...Very well." agreed Diana with some hesitation, having some dislike for what she viewed as this overly idealistic pacifism, "And the other condition?"

"You will not take any missions upon yourself with out the approval of either I, or She-Ra." stated Adora, "When such missions are given to you, I will expect you to follow them to the letter. Is that understood, and agreed to?"

Diana was not entirely unencustomed to being a part of a team, and hence this condition was actually less difficult for her to accept than the first.

With a wide smile on her face, she stated, "Agreed."

"Then welcome to the Great Rebellion!" exclaimed Adora joyously, "With your help, perhaps I will not be denied closeness with my family much longer. Perhaps Etheria will soon be liberated!"

"I promise you, Adora..." began Wonder Woman in smiling reply, "It will be."

This meeting between Adora, and Diana, would be the catalyst of great changes for the planets of Earth, Eternia, and Etheria. Both Adora, and Diana, called it a night after the day's spectacular happenings, with a special guest quarters prepared for Diana, and soon refitted to accomidate her immigration to Etheria.

In the month to come, She-Ra and Wonder Woman became very close friends, as they typically worked in tandem to completely overwhelm everyone from Horde Force Captain Catra to Grizzlor to Leech to Mantenna to Shadow Weaver. Wonder Woman was embraced with open arms by her warm, new friends of Angella, Bow, Castaspella, Frosta, Kowl, Glimmer, the twiggets, Madame Razz and Broom. She often enjoyed racing contests with the spirited Swift Wind, much to the amusement of She-Ra.

One man was anything but amused.

    That man was Hordak.

"Curse that warrior woman!" he shouted in excruciating frustration, as he pounded his fist down upon one of the arm rests of his throne in the Fright Zone throne room, "Curse her to the darkest depths of Despondos!"

"Do you speak of She-Ra, mighty one?" asked Shadow Weaver, always eager to pry and learn what she could.

"No, Weaver!" he bellowed in response, standing out of his throne with a pained expression through out his entire form, "I speak of that accursed Wonder Woman of Earth! She-Ra has been a constant thorn in my side, yes... but at least she could be largely contained! At least we could maintain a perpetual war of attrition with her where no significant amount of territory was lost. Since Wonder Woman has arrived on Etheria to help her, we have lost fully one third of the territory that rightfully belonged to the Horde before! Horde Prime will punish me severely if we can't somehow... some way... manage to turn the tide!"

"That would usually be true, Hordak." came a voice of an uniquely nasal quality, as he unexpectedly walked in on this private meeting between Hordak, and Shadow Weaver, appearing out of the shade, "However, even Horde Prime and I have to admit that the odds have been unfairly stacked against you!"

"Inspector Darkney!" shouted Hordak in surprise, "Why do you appear before me with out an announcement of your coming?"

"Time is of the essence, Hordak." answered Inspector Darkney in turn, "We need you to keep She-Ra and Wonder Woman at bay for at least five more months. You do not need to squash them during that time, but you do need to resist the further lost of territory! To help you in this endeavour, Horde Prime has generously decided to provide you with an unusually high allotment of Horde troopers to use!"

"That is a relief!" exclaimed Shadow Weaver, having grown weary of Horde failures in the past month as well.

Hordak dismissed Shadow Weaver's words to press Inspector Darkney further.

"And what happens in five months, Darkney?" he asked.

A most delicious evil grin washed across Darkney's face at the utterance of this question.

"Horde Prime, as you know Hordak, is the most powerful being in the galaxy." began Inspector Darkney in answer, "There is a most heinous plot underway as we speak... one that will effectively end the threat posed by the Great Rebellion once and for all should it succeed! All you have to do is hold on for five more months for this plot to begin to bear fruits, Hordak."

Hordak rubbed his chin in deep contemplation, giving much thought to Inspector Darkney's words.

"Very well, Darkney." he responded, "I hope to be debriefed on this plot as soon as possible. In the meantime, however, I assure you that I will not fail glorious Horde Prime in maintaining control over Etheria until his undoubtably brilliant plans reach fruition!"

"See that you don't." were the last words of Darkney to Hordak, before leaving to return to the rebuilt Velvet Glove.

Horde Prime had grown very weary of Wonder Woman's impact on Etheria, and saw the need to take drastic, and unconventional, action. In time, the true horror of his secret plot would be revealed.

    Chapter 7 - Etheria's Finest

Three months passed by surprisingly quickly, and through much toil and trouble, Hordak managed to hold up to his end of the bargain thus far. The Horde became increasingly isolationist, avoiding conflict with the Great Rebellion as much as possible. This created a sharp disagreement between She-Ra, and Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman insisted that with the Horde seemingly on the run, and taking upon themselves a policy of avoidance, that the Great Rebellion should go on the offensive, until the Horde was completely driven from the planet. She was greatly heartened by how successful her time with the Etherian Great Rebellion had been, and was eager to see her heroic self-imposed mission to completion.

She-Ra did not like instigating conflict, even against those who she was quite confidant would instigate conflict against her if they felt that they held a more advantageous position. She had hoped that the recent military successes of the Great Rebellion could be buttressed with a diplomatic agreement between the Horde, and the kingdoms of Angella, Castaspella, and Frosta. In return for an immediate ceasefire, the Horde would maintain uncontested control of the territory that they had left, but would have to release all prisoners of war, and slave laborers, who would be granted amnesty by Brightmoon, and Mystacore.

Wonder Woman commended She-Ra for her admirable love of peace, but cautioned against trusting despots like Hordak, and Horde Prime.

She-Ra counterred by insisting that just as Adora had been redeemed, so could Hordak. Alas, numerous potential ceasefire agreements were sent his way, but he brushed them all aside, as he hated the concept of peace between the Horde, and lesser beings, such as the indigenious people of Etheria.

Hordak's contemptuous lack of diplomatic spirit paved the way for She-Ra's occassional capitulation to Wonder Woman's desired strategies. Nonetheless, the relationship between the two was strained. They did greatly admire one another, and indeed had come to view one another as dear friends, but their philosophical differences often weared thin.

Given how thin it had become, it took but one more sense of a willful slight to anger Diana to a tipping point.

Diana, and She-Ra seated upon Swift Wind, were next to one another upon a jutting ledge that overlooked the scene of a smouldering Horde port, destroyed by their collective efforts. Diana smiled at the sight, but She-Ra sighed.

"Such wanton destruction..." she stated to herself, "It is truly tragic that Hordak refuses to be more reasonable."

"Since he is unreasonable, She-Ra..." began Diana in reply, raising an eyebrow while making a stern look towards She-Ra, "What you call 'wanton destruction' is necessary to deal with the Horde."

"Do you think of nothing but warfare, Diana?" asked She-Ra, with a raised eyebrow of her own, "I still remember your Themyscira on Earth. It was a pristine place of peace. Is it wrong for me to want the same for Etheria?"

"No, it's not..." replied Diana, softening her voice, and overall approach to She-Ra for an instant, "Your desires are admirable, She-Ra, as you yourself are. However, villains who willfully choose to be unreasonable can not, by definition, be reasoned with. What we did today is right, and like yourself, I think of more than just warfare."

There was a tinge of annoyance in Wonder Woman's voice on those last few words to She-Ra.

    Chapter 7 - Etheria's Finest

    [Cont'd]

"I wish you would show that side of yourself which loves peace more often then, Diana..." responded She-Ra in a deeply contemplative tone.

"There's something that I wish you would show me..." replied Wonder Woman, glancing at She-Ra with a cross look on her face.

"What does that mean?" asked She-Ra, stunned by Diana's harsh tone.

"For several months now, She-Ra, you and I have been the closest of allies and friends..." began Wonder Woman in response, turning to make intense eye contact with She-Ra, "We have fought side by side. We have bled side by side. We have rescued one another from certain doom at the auspices of one of Shadow Weaver's new spells, or of Hordak's newest trap, or of vast numbers of Horde troopers, or of Catra's machinations, dozens of times already. I... I care deeply about you, She-Ra, and yet you still don't trust me to even the same degree as my fellow heroes of Earth do!"

"Diana... I trust you with my life, as you yourself attest." replied She-Ra, becoming defensive over Diana's words.

"And yet you don't trust me with a most important secret that has become increasingly apparent to me." stated Diana, with her tone decidedly cross at this point.

She-Ra, and Swift Wind, both became extremely uneasy at these words, having a strong suspicion of what they meant.

"Diana... I don't know what you're talking about." stated She-Ra, trying her best to sound convincing as she made this statement.

These words caused Diana to actually sneer at She-Ra.

"Do not play coy with me!" she shouted upwards at She-Ra, as She-Ra was still seated upon Swift Wind, "I am not an idiot, She-Ra! I am not blind! Did you honestly think that you could keep such a secret from me... who I thought was your best friend... forever?"

Diana was hurt. Very visibly hurt. She-Ra breathed a deep sigh of concern, and dismounted Swift Wind, hoping to spare her noble, flying unicorn further angry outbursts.

"Diana..." she said very gently, as she placed her hands upon Diana's shoulders, "Please calm down. You are one of my dearest friends. There is no need to get so upset!"

This did not sooth Diana. In fact, it struck her as condescending, and insulting. She harshly removed herself from She-Ra's hands, and walked away from her. She-Ra was starting to become exasperated.

"Diana!" she pleaded in frustration, while becoming more animated in her mannerisms, "You really need to relax!"

"No." stated Diana in reply, and with stunning calm, "You need to tell the truth. Thankfully, I have a way of achieving that..."

What occurred next came as a disturbing shock to She-Ra, and Wonder Woman would come to feel guilt over it. Nonetheless, the deed would be done. With several lightning quick flicks of her fingers, and wrists, she unbuckled her lasso of truth... and hurled it at She-Ra, binding her with it!

"What are you doing to She-Ra?!" exclaimed a greatly alarmed Swift Wind, barely able to hold himself back from attacking Wonder Woman.

    Wonder Woman ignored his question.

"Are you Adora?!" she asked of She-Ra with considerable anger.

"Y-yes!" stammered She-Ra in reply, unable to resist the powers of the lasso of truth.

Wonder Woman then uncoiled her lasso of truth with a flick of her wrist, releasing She-Ra from its binds, and went about returning it to her belt buckle.

It was now She-Ra who was hurt, and almost trembling.

"How could you do that to me?!" she shouted in question to Diana, as she rushed over to her, with intense eye contact being made once more.

"Bruce didn't keep his secret from me." answered Wonder Woman, in a low tone, inwardly regretting her impulsive act already, "Nor did Clark. I've become closer to you than to either of them. In fact... I envisioned us as Etheria's version of them, She-Ra. Do you know how badly you made me feel by not trusting me with your secret... Adora?"

That left a great tension in the air. She-Ra finally broke it temporarily by deciding upon what to say.

"People have secrets for a reason, Diana." she stated with a slight tone of anger, "The more people who know my secret, the more likely it becomes that someone like Hordak, or Shadow Weaver, will discover it. Do you want that?!"

The ball was now in Diana's court, as the tension continued to hold.

"No!" answered Diana, becoming a bit choked up, "But I would never tell them that! I would never betray you like that!"

"...You've already betrayed me this day." stated She-Ra sharply, "I'm leaving with Swift Wind for the Crystal Castle. I need time by myself to consult with Lighthope... who I did tell you about, Diana, making you one of a precious few who know about him. I need some time of solitude there... much akin to your good friend Clark. Do not follow me. I'll come for you when the time is right."

With that, She-Ra mounted Swift Wind, and soared off into the gorgeous skies above, leaving an almost motionless Diana to stew with profoundly conflicted emotions, and feelings.

Deep fractures were beginning to appear in the alliance, and friendship, between Diana and She-Ra. Still, Diana now knew that Adora and She-Ra were one and the same. She-Ra hoped that the Sorceress, as well as Lighthope, would not be overly troubled by this fact. She also did need time alone. Such time would buy more time for Hordak, as Horde Prime's machiavellian plot was nearing realization.
