Oh, it's a trade heavy week, which could turn pricey. may have to put a few books back if nessesary. Depends on if I ordered these or not.

    Avatar:
    Frank Miller's Robocop TPB:
can't remember if I ordered this or not. I'm pretty sure I did. Looking at the price tag on it now, I'm kind of wishing I hadn't. Sounds interesting though.

    DC/Wildstorm/Vertigo:
    52, week 39:
Getting close to the end. Cover for this one looks interesting.
Ex machina #26: Great as always. New storyline. Top of the stack for that one.
Jack of Fables #7: Good stuff. I'm really enjoying this series so far.
also Ninja Scroll from last week, since my store got shorted on it.

    Marvel:
    Astonishing X-men Vol 3:
I'm glad I read this in trades. Can't wait to get into this one.
XIII Vol 1: I've had this ordered since I believe Alias originally solicited it, more than a year ago. Hopefully it lives up to my expectations. If I don't get a copy, I'll be pissed.

    Oni:
    Wasteland #6:
Enjoying this one. Time to go back and reread the first arc in one sitting.

    Viz:
Yu Gi Oh: Duelist Vol 19:
Yes, I'm a big, childish, geek. I've never played the game, but I find the manga interesting, and well drawn. I think this one is wrapping up soon.
Shonen Jump #51: Need to finish the last issue tonight. Love this book though. Lots of great, different stories.

Just looking at everyone's lists here makes me smile - I'm going to have plenty of material for the podcast this week. XIII and Spider-Ham in the same week? SCORE!

I forgot to mention that I need to order Doug TenNapel's Gears from somewhere. Love his stuff so much.

Also, did everyone else's color change on the forums, or have I gone crazy?

    Oh, you're losin' it. :p

If you want, go to: User CP, Options, and at the bottom select the Forum Skin option you like. Maybe they just reset for you or something.

I was thinking the same thing. I also just ordered the first trade so I may hold off on re-reading until that arrives in March/April.

Btw, did you notice that Oni raised the price for this book? Going forward (can't remember if it is issue #7 or #8), the new cover price will be $3.50. I'm still onboard, but I wonder if that isn't a warning that the book isn't selling as well as expected to warrant the lower price point.

I'm always impressed with the amount of back issue bin diving that you do. Do you bargain shop or pay top dollar for these types of books?

Looking back, I think that the Uncanny X-Men run in my collection begins around issue #203 (#210 was definitely the first issue of Uncanny that I sampled) and ends at issue #318.

Thanks man. I don't pay top dollar for ANYTHING. All of the issues I got last night were 50% off, and the most I spent on any 1 was $4 (#216 I think). There were more issues I needed, but I didn't want to spend the $ on them.

There is a chain of stores up here called New England Comics and they have huge sales every now and then. Right now they are having a sale that is:

50% OFF COMICS OLD & NEW!*
    50% OFF TOYS*
20% OFF TRADES AND GRAPHIC NOVELS
    30% OFF EVERYTHING ELSE!*

So the last 2 weeks I've gotten supplies at 30% off and super-cheap back issues. Hell, last week the Marvel Two-in-One's that I got were almost ALL $1, and then I got 1/2 off that! HA! The huge lot of X-books I got was from a friend who bought a collection and then sold the X-books to me at $1 a piece, which isn't bad at all.

That's a nice X-run you've got there. You stopped just as I started, around the Age Of Apocalypse. My "goal" with the X-books is to get from #180 / Ann. 7 and up, where Essential vol 4 ends. I also don't mind if I have trades that cover issues (like I have the Mutant Massacre tpb, which has 210-213). So if you count that I have from 202-221 straight. I need a bunch of Jim Lee issues, but other than that, none are really hard or expensive.

Okay, I found out what I did. There's a little tab at the bottom of the page, I must have changed it without noticing. Wierd.

I didn't notice the price jump, but it's not that big a deal. I hope it's selling well enough to continue for a while. Seems like they have a nice long story planned, and I'd like to see it through to the end. Hopefully the trade sales give it a little boost. It's a really solid book that more people should give a try.

I thought I saw this come out last week.

    · MS MARVEL SPECIAL - Not interested in the reprints, but for the new story.
I do not think there are any reprints in it.

Usagi # 100 is the book I need to see. This may not actually have a standard Usagi story (unless Sakai worked one into his pages), so I'm wondering if it will live up to the anticipation or turn any of the milestone issue curiosity seekers on to the book more long term.

Maybe, but mine is shipping this week. I got it from my DCBS shipment list.

I just checked and YOU ARE CORRECT SIR! I'm confusing it with the Giant Size format Marvel has been using lately.
