DMZ 15 spoilers

So our hero escorts his recent sex gift/suicide bomber Amina to the UN press conference. He can't get her close enough and is worried about blowing up innocents (plus his new sort of love interest?) so they run. He kisses her, grabs her booty and then rips off the detonator. He and she both get shot at for failing to complete the mission, but the terrorists blow up the UN people later in their convoy anyway. Of course, Amina's not happy about being rescued.

I'm pretty sure we're supposed to think that Trustwell is funding the terrorists to cause all of the problems to give the company more work and to get the UN out of NY so they can work without their interference. Or did I read that wrong?

I'm not sure why they wanted to go with the suicide bomb in the first place. The contingency seemed to be much more effective. Plus, some Trustwell people would have been killed by the suicide bomber.

It was good to see Matty using his man-whore skills to get the detonator.

And I'm not sure about Trustwell, either. Like you say, why the bomb when the contingency would've seemed to work better?

Course, we've only hit the bridge of a 5-part arc. Can't wait to see how things wrap-up the storyline in the next two issues.

oh oh ......the UN in leaving the DMZ!!!! !i bet theres going to be lots of xplosions and super bad stuff without the ambassadors of morroco and tonga to put a stop to it . who will save them now?

I don't want to say much more than that because it's detailed pretty well in the next issue. Suffice to say Trustwell wants the conditions on the ground to look as unstable as possible, and a suicide bomber walking into a press conference and blowing people up live on TV's good way to do that. The contingency will still get the job done, but its not as "sexy".

I dunno... is there a reason they should? They don't seem very compatible.

They're the two characters I care about the most, and I guess I'm letting that spill over onto the page.
