Bebop and FLCL should go without saying. Actually, any Yoko Kanno should go without saying. I had the pleasure of meeting her in New York at a con and got her to sign this expensive CD box set. She really is like an older real life Ed, except a musician instead of a hacker.

Oh yes. The music in Escaflowne, the movie, is awesome.

I was speaking more about the TV series, which gets to have a lot of moments with lots of differnt themes, and, because of this, a lot of different musical scores.

But, then, I'm not a fan of the movie, so I'm baised.

I was never able to get into the series when I watched it the first time. Kind of like my inability to get into Dragon Ball before getting interested in Dragon Ball Z...

I would also like to throw my vote in for Berserk. While the opening theme I don't like, I love the tracks Monster and Fear. Fear is the music in the background during the Eclipse. At least that is how my computer reads it.

Oddly enough, I find most of the Japanese Pokemon music to be fairly pleasant.
