    Default Heroic Publishing fans?

I'm just getting back into comics after more than 10-years away.
But back in the late 80s/early 90s, I started reading some of the books being published by Heroic Publishing and they were great.
Flare, The League of Champions, Tigress, and Giant were awesome characters.
Any HP fans on the board here?

Yes, I am a fan of the line-up. I felt that you have overlooked some of the other characters on the line-up: Sparkplug, Nemesis Girl, The Black Enchantress, WitchGirls Inc., Liberty Girl, Roy Thomas' Anthem, Chrissie Claus, Commander Fantastic & The All-Girl Hero Squadron, & the upcoming Naomi Battle Squirrel & Sgt. Furry & His Teddy Bear Commandos!

Oh, I like them too. Especially Sparkplug.

But back then the only comics I could afford (since HP books were a little more expensive than Marvel) were Flare, and Champions (where Giant, Tigress, etc made regular appearances).

I'm jumping back into the HP universe this February by subscribing to a few titles. Even though I understand it has changed a lot in the past 10-12 years.
And despite my favorite villain Foxbat being re-cast as a bizarre gender-changing hero/villain whatchamahoozit. Still sounds fun.

And afterall, that's what comics should be.

I liked Liberty Girl #1 but never saw another issue on the shelves. I'll try and pick up the Free Comic Book Day issue. I find her the most appealing of all the Heroic Publishing characters (the only one i considered buying). I have an affinity for patriotic characters and her costume design is quite nice. I've only read the first issue but hope HP keeps working the patriotic/military motiff. Maybe less superheroics and more spy/war type stories.

I am also interested in Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt though I've never read any of their stories. They are reworkings of golden age characters right? I'd like to see more vintage public doman character revivals.

A Liberty Girl book with backup stories featuring Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt would be ideal.

New tales of Captain Thunder & Blue Bolt will be showing up in the pages of Champions!

Liberty Girl/Comics is on my pull list at my local shop. I really like the series. I do wish she had an alter ego. It is still a very fun series, though.

Liberty Comics is a spin-off book that has 52 pages in every issue with stories featuring not only Liberty Girl, but Doctor Arcane, The Golden Warrior, The Vanguard of Freedom & all of the Heroic Publishing characters active in the 1940s!

Huh. Looks like they're using the Comics Monkey distribution system (with printing at Ka-Blam). Are these going to be available at stores or only via their website? I'm interested in this distribution route but only if the comics look & feel like a comic.

I'm in for Liberty Comics #2 for a test run.

I was reading Flare: The Shining Star and Liberty Girl: The Return recently.

I'm hoping to have reviews posted soon on the site, but the short-n-sweet comment is these books are a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to scooping up a lot more of them.
