Kill Off An Avengers Villian of Your Choice!

If you were a creator at Marvel Comics, and had free reign for a story arc in the Avengers (any series, mini series, one-shot, whatever!)....

Which villian would you take out permanently?

That is, you have management approval all the way up the line to kill off a villian, any villian you like. You need not get approval of an editor, you've already got it.

But, and this is the catch, you must explain or justify WHY you want to eliminate this villian. You may do so in any method, or to develop any conflict, plot development, or crisis that you intend. You just have to explain it in your posting below.

So who will it be?

Marvel is sorely lacking good villains in my opinion. I would'nt kill any.

Death is overdone and only leads to remove characters future writers may want to use.

If he's not gone already, I'd take out "the Mysterious Melter". I've always thought he was a one note joke. Second, get rid of the Unicorn. Always been lame.

Honestly....Ultron. And my reasoning is simple. I want him to be out-evolved. I want an AI more advanced than this throwback to the 70's. Superhero science should be incredible, unbelievable, scaling the heights of fantasy. Ultron has existed for an indeterminate amount of Marvel Time, but he hasn't really progressed. Busiek had him create varying sizes of Ultron simultaneously (yawn) and Bendis had some notion of him existing in Vision in Disassembled....but really he got jobbed by the Runaways! Have him be defeated by his successor, something even more weird and terrible than him.

I'm reminded of that ep of Defenders of the Earth I saw when I was ten or so. Ming was killed by his son, who we were assured would be much worse. Status quo returned an episode or two later - but wow that ending! Something like that :)

Don't kill off any of the Avengers' villains. If anything, give them a bigger and better rogues' gallery.

Is that the same guy as the Iron Man villian with the melting gun/belt? If so he was killed by Scourge a looooonnnnggg time ago.

I actually got a great idea for killing Kang.
Kang repeatedly finds himself under assault by a mysterious hooded time traveller who always knows exactly where and when Kang is.
Eventually the stranger kills Kang,and pulls back his hood to reveal that he's..............Kang.
Turns out he got tired of the constant time traveling,never having a place or era to call home,the battles,the defeat after defeat,so he decided to die in battle with the only being he considered worthy to spill his blood:himself.
I can see it now.One Kang is dying on the floor,the other holding a knife and dissapearing.
Fading Kang "You'd have thanked me in ten year's time"
