First summary, so dont be judgemental. Spoilers below

The issue opens up with gorgan commenting on how the humans dont even know they are at war. Gorgon, Kurani, and Jolten go to a show called the tempest, where all the elite of america are at the time. THe idea is to have Jolten use his plant powers to incapacitate the audience, while gorgon demands the crystals back. Kurani would than make them look like europeans and they would slip out, "fleeing for their lives". However, the audience is mostley drunk and start calling them terrorists, and start yelling......well obcenities. Gorgon askes Jolten to make them be quiet, which Jolten decides is napping 47 or so of their necks. Yeah. It was supposed to be bloodless, so they try to get the hell out. THere disguised, and the FF intercept them, telling them how it was stupid to check into a hotel, not leave for a week, than show up at a terrorist attack 2 blocks away. They have a discussion, the FF repremending them and telling them they are no longer friends, with gorgan telling their reasons. Friggen Jolten trys to choke ben with a vine, which......well dosnt work. Gorgan slams the ground, knocking the FF away. Then.....well they get their asses kicked. a government task force comes by and takes the inhumans from the FF.

Gorgan wakes up in a white room at O.N.E with a scientist who's more of a siloutte, who tells gorgan to tell him about black bolt, and his name and such. Gorgan makes a comment about how when black bolt comes, he will destroy your walls, america, etc, and there will be no defence. THe scientist tells gorgan that the president will go on later, calling black bolt a religious fanatic, the crystals weapons of mass destruction, and the inhumans a terrorist group. Gorgon is, understandibly, pissed. he yells that its a lie. The scientist proceeds to playback his blackbolt-will-kill-you-all speech on a tape recorder, than leaves the room

Cut to the inhumans all having a conversation for their next cource of action. THey wait for black bolts ruling, which medusa delivers. Medusa says they will submit an apology to the UN. Black bolt snaps her fingers (take THAT women.....kidding kidding) and she changes the ruling that there will be no apology, and that black bolt wants more time to ponder. Crystal and....oh golly i cant remember his name, the guy who can see flaws in defences.....any way crystal mentions that she's never seen black bolt this indecisive. THe flaw guy points out how medusa has never misinterpreted black bolts wishes before. In the royal chamber, medusa apologizes for getting the ruling wrong. she also has the sad look on and tells black bolt he snapped his fingers at her like she was a dog. Black bolt kisses her hand.

Back to gorgon and the scientist, the scientist comments how they've managed to reproduce the mists with mixed results. The scientist asks gorgon if anyones been exposed to the mist TWICE.
Gorgon: You wouldent dare! the mists are a sacred thing (paraphrasing)
It than shows the scientists face (i dont recognize him, im sure someone else does) He makes a speach on how he's tired of other cultures trying to destroy his way of life. he fills gorgons chamber with the mists. he clears it up after the process and we cut to see......

well, i couldent describe it so i scanned it.



all in all it was a great issue. i didnt like the art at first, but it grew on me. i cant wait to see where this goes.

Man, Id hate to be the scientist when gorgon gets out...he looks like an extra from 'war of the gargantuas'.

I agree, aside from Gorgon's mutation pic the art wasnt that great. I also think its odd how the test/torture are being conducted by ONE under the premise that they are not human. If ONE is in charge of mutants and mutants are not technically human, is there experimentation being done on mutants in the facility? I see it now, Black Bolt, Namor and Hulk team up to smash America.

Even though I was concerned that once again David Hine would pull some bait and switch with the storyline, the first issue was great and I'm glad I snagged it. Hopefully the story remains on track, without any appearances by Johnny Dee. Cause I swear... if David Hine's pet shows up again... ugh. :p

I hate the representation of the American government in the Marvel Universe. I would love to see Black Bolt annihilate the U.S. along with the Atlanteans. I mean according to the marvel universe the united states is full of jerks who torture and lock up people.

Over all I enjoyed this and I loved the use of the many different generations of inhumans in it.

I checked this out in the comic book store and it looked really good, but I think I'll probably wait for the trade of this. I don't usually do that, but I think it would be the best option here. No ads, one complete story, same price.
