His lightning attacks were ridiculously powerful. And accurate, as shown when he came flying in and frying a load of foot soldiers that were about to shoot Cap and co.
Ok, I forgot about the fact he did that once he flew up onto the building, but you have to admit it was strange that there were no flying attacks done by Thor against the aliens. As I was saying, maybe they find it awkward due to the fact that he is not really flying, but throwing his hammer while hanging onto it, but, they did do that move in his solo film where he flew right through that Ice-monster. So, y'know, we could have had him ploughing through them with the hammer like that.
I missed the flying Thor in battle in his solo movie, so I was disapointed we did not get that in the final battle, because we he did fly through the city that one time to get to the top of the building, it looked superb.
If it was a budget issue, that is a bit crap, as it was pretty obvious at the early stage of the game, that this film is gonna do major business.

    4)
Yes, d army did show up but dey did ABSOULTELY NOTHING, werent even shown 2 shoot down a single alien or even shown working in coordination with d Avengers....nothing.

    5)
    IM already has 2 solo movies & a 3rd 1 on d way so y all d IM d#*k sucking in d movie? IM saved Cap twice...WTF?!?!? Did IM finaly hv 2 b d 1 2 save d day...y couldnt it b Thor, Cap or Fury?

Dis is simply just our opinion probably bcuz d movie had way 2 much hype so we went it with a 'cheklist' of expectations which sadly d avengers faild 2 accomplish but still did well enuff 2 keep sum of us interestd in a sequel.
It is quite funny how you have went to the trouble to 'bold' your number layout, but can't be arsed typing up any vowels. You raise some points of discussion, but they are really annoying to read.

This line is an absolute corker of robot poetry though, it is like that bit in the Spider-man living brain comic when they ask the robot Spidey's secret I.D., and it spews out a lot of number gibberish...

In answer to this, I guess Iron-Man hd 2 b d 1 2 save the day, as he was the only one who they gave the full on power of flight to, Thor was mostly ground based for the final battle. I actually thought Thor was gonna fly up into the wormhole and scoop IM out, but I guess they thought it was better to have that moment of him *just* making it out freefall style(which it was, it worked great), and to have the Hulk save him(Thor was ready to catch him *once* he was out of the wormhole, I guess he did not want to risk getting trapped in a dimesion without hairdressers).

I am not gonna moan any more about unflying Thor in the final battle, it was notable because the rest of it showcased the heroe's abilities in a way that you cannot complain about.

Why didn't Thor unleash his 'full power' during the end battle with the aliens? This is my one gripe with the final battle, we got one decent shot of him flying in the final battle, and I'm like, 'Ok, finally we are gonna see full on flying Thor in action..', but then he only flies to land on top of a building, and then spends the rest of the battle standing around on the ground?!
Are they finding it awkward to have Thor fly and fight at the same time, because technically, he is throwing his hammer and holding onto it? Or is it a budget issue?
You would think he would at least have called up some massive lightning bolts to attack the large alien 'ships'. Or maybe they are just not using Thor to his full potential deliberately, as he is much more powerful then the other heroes? If they did this with Superman in a JLA movie, folk would be pissed.

Anyway, I got pretty much what I expected with the movie, it had some great superhero moments...

Cap jumping down in front of the old guy with the shield, fighting Loki, and then Iron-Man swooping to the rescue with AC/DC playing....Cap giving orders to the cop(who played a prison guard in Oz incidentally, haha) who wonders why the hell he should take orders from him, before slamming into the aliens...1st Hulk transformation, that is the first time there was a palatable feeling of fear in the room of him turning into the Hulk, SJ sold that scene...Hawkeye's escape with his last arrow...Stark being tossed out the window by Loki(although, y'know, the surprise was spoiled by all the trailers)....watching Iron-Man fly to his death, seeing how he would be in the final moments... I enjoyed the superhero vs superhero fights, sure, but it's the actual moments of them doing the proper job that get to me the most.

I am a bit pissed off they spoiled one of the surprise final moments of the film in a trailer, with Hulk leaping up to save Iron-Man.
Thor used the building as his personal electric chair and killed tons of the aliens and destroyed several ships.

The Avengers movie is what all the Transformers movies aspire to be.

    9.5 out of 10 stars.

Book it down this weekend (if you can still get tickets that is).
