I think having the guy who played the inventor of the "Golden Rule" is not a good idea for playing the original "Golden Avenger".Originally Posted by Atom_basher

Worst casting ever. If anyone should play Thor it's Triple H.Originally Posted by The Shadow

Sean Penn...didn't he beat up Madonna when they were married? He's GOTTA be Henry Pym!
And Thor...Come on! FABIO!

Theres only one choice for Iron Man
Matthew Fox
Thor
Kevin Sorbo
I don't see how this would work well as a movie...Marvel would have a very hard time including Captain America, Iron Man, Ant Man, or Thor as they are all scheduled to be in solo movies. You could take the ultimates approuch but that would be somewhat confusing to casual viewers(They would see it as "who is this Captain America, this isn't the same Iron man,ect..") I think it's a bad Idea, and would requir a huge bugdet, and it wouldn't work well with other marketing(Spider-Man and Wolverine wouldn't be in it, so that confuses people that go to buy the comics. Cap and the others wouldn't be in it so that confuses the old timers). I just think it would not be a good idea at this point, maybe after Iron Man, Captain America, Ant Man, Thor, Namor, and Iron Fist all come out they can put them together in one movie or something, but otherwise I don't see this as a worthwhile, marketable idea, and I think marvels movie resources would be better spent working on other films(X-Men begins perhaps? Deadpool: merc with a mouth..maybe!?). Eh, anyways, I doubt it will make it into full production.
People said the same thing about X-Men.Originally Posted by Micro

Like X-Men and Spider-Man?Originally Posted by Micro
I think you're reading too much into that. The FF, Hulk, Daredevil, Elektra and Blade movies didn't have Spidey or Wolverine. Unless you mean in regards to the New Avengers... but the Avengers has a fluid membership anyway, and Spidey and Wolverine aren't long standing members. AND the comics don't usually get a boost from a movie. AND look at the characterization n the X movies... Iceman is a kid as is Rogue, while Juggernaut got new powers for the movie as did Psylocke and a few others... yet no one was confused there.Originally Posted by Micro
And as for the old fans... if Cap and the others weren't in it chances are the old fans have read Avengers books without Cap and the others... so why would that confuse anyone?
You think the #1 selling Marvel comic would be a bad investment for a movie... but Deadpool wouldn't be???Originally Posted by Micro

By the way...Kerr Smith is inspired casting as Quicksilver...a hunky jerk....i think hed also go well with my own choice for the Scarlet Witch (Mena Suvari)

my choice for Captain America is Eric Johnson (1979) from Smallville

my choice for Pietro is Ian Somerhalder (1978)

my choice for Wanda is Jordana Brewster (1980) to go for the exotic look. i had no idea that Kerr Smith (1972) was so...old. must just have a young face.

and Mike Vogel (1979) for Hawkeye

if they wait 5 years to begin shooting, Kerr would be perfect for Tony Stark and Paul Walker (1973) might have improved enough as an actor to be Captain America.

It's nice that they're doing an Avengers script, but remember a few years ago when the guy who played Toad was all set to do the Iron Fist movie? Didn't happen either.
I'd much rather see movies of the indvidual characters. Budget-wise, there's no way they could do an Avengers movie, and do it justice.
Like I said to Micro, they said that about X-Men too... and now there are 3 of them.Originally Posted by Steffen
