A+--Greatest Comic Movie Ever!
B---Very Good but could have been better
C---Meh, just okay
D--Very let down; even "Catwoman" was better!
F---Complete Failure; what happened??
It would be like if I asked if a burger from one restaurant tasted like the burger from another restaurant and you responded by saying that one restaurant gave fries with their burger while the other gave onion rings with their burger.
You are an apocalypse dreaming of butterflies
we are a patchwork of miracles.
Also, I'm not just talking about general things with the superhero genre. It just seems like the style of witty and clever dialogue people often attribute to Whedon is pretty common in the DCAU as well, going back to Batman: TAS. Stuff like this:
There was another scenario that was talked about in fan circles before the film came out where Loki would have controled Hulk with the Avengers having to fight the monster wich I think would have been a good dramatic point for the movie and give Loki the impact necessary. I think they probably thought about it because it happened in the creation of the Avengers in the comics AND In the Ultimates(wich inspired the movie) AND they used it in the animated Ultimate Avengers DTV but they wanted Hulk to come off as a hero as much as possible. There's also the fact that it's easier economically to have a small Thor-Hulk battle inside the Hellicarrier than having an open space battle with all the Avengers trying to calm down the Hulk.
Legato - Frank, Calm Down Your Nerd Rage!
Well they basically did do that. It was quite clear that Loki and his staff was having an influence on the group. It was heightening their emotions. Someone else mentioned it so i can't take credit, but it was like the Avengers were drunk. The truth comes out when you're pissed right?
Plus with the explosion and the attack, all that stress made Banner lose that little bit of control he had by keeping his anger at a steady level.
And really, making it Thor vs Hulk was better i thought. Because that shows that Hulk is truly a beast and only Thor can handle him. If the others could then it takes away some of that danger factor, which the film built up really well with Hulk. Also, it had the team doing other stuff, like Tony and Steve working together.
SPOILER ALERT: For those who haven't watched the movie, dont read this.
I have couple of questions about the movie and I have you can answer them:
1. Where's the Abomination?
2. Where's War Machine/Rhodey?
3. Where's Betty Ross and her dad?
4. In the after credits scene, is that Thanos and Red Skull talking?
5. Why the f@%# is Nick Fury aiming for the nuclear jet with his 9mm gun!?
1. I guess still in prison.
2. good question. I guess if the secret concil was somehow in charge of things behind the scene and Rhodney works for the military, they ordered him to stand down
3. I would have liked to have seen them but General Ross I guess did not need to get involved since Banner was lost anyway(and was found by Shield)
4. Purple face, Thanos
5. just to show he cared
Legato - Frank, Calm Down Your Nerd Rage!
i dont get why people think that the skull is in this movie
-this posters ragging on rob leifelds art is not ment as hatred toward the man he is a professional artist and got that way for a reason...however i cannot condone the use of pouches-
Because this film is about the Avengers. It's hard enough to juggle 6 lead characters. You throw in all those other characters and it'd end up being a jumbled mess.
2. In Air Force ? Rhodes did say that he'll return the war machine armor in IM2 so he should be powerless by now anyway.
3. In the army base somewhere watching the action on the telly ?
4. There's only Thanos , no red skull anywhere.
5. Because he's nick f&$king fury , that's why. He's a badass muthurf@$ker.
As far as why the military wasn't there , supposely the US military withdraw their support for the avengers movie because of how unrealistic shield is.
The military was there for the shooting though but i guess they got withdraw later.
i didn't like how the movie went out of its way to show all the guys' women in some form or fashion.....pepper in the movie itself, peggy in flashbacks, jane mentioned as being under shield protection. what about betty? maybe it's in the 45 min they cut out...
