So can I but I wanted this movie to be at least 2 hour 30.

If people can watch movies like titanic for three hours why not a superhero film and This is THE AVENGERS theres no way they can wrap things up in 2 hours 15 min.

There's no such thing as too long where superhero movies are concerned. Make the movie as long as possible.

The green lantern film wasn't even 2 hours. It bored you because it wasn't very good.

To be honest, the mask should have let everybody know before we even set foot in a cinema. Damn that looked bad.

I really wanted Cap and Thor to be about a half an hour longer each...I hope that doesn't happen here as well

That man likes jumping out of things.

My point being I am not seeing the movie as being any more "Ultimates" influenced than it is 616 influenced. But to be fair, I have not actually seen the movie yet.
Yup. Totally agree. Cap just jumps off stuff, like Batman, and figures it out on his way down. Hell, even Bucky in the Winter Soldier: Winter Kills, just swan-dived off the top of a building after bidding the Vision, Patriot, Hawkeyegirl goodbye. It's canon.

You really can't go longer than a bit over 2 hours for a summer blockbuster with a monster budget. It's basic Hollywood Econ 101. A long film means fewer show times, and fewer show times means lower box office. We'll get the director's cut on DVD, but the theatrical release's duration is dictated by how many times an evening it can be shown at a single multiplex.

Yeah but the dark knight rises budget is 250 million dollars and I still think it will be longer than the avengers.

Not something I'd think of right away, having seen longer movies (ala Braveheart, LOTR films, etc...) but you make an excellent point. They're going to have this puppy in multiple screens in every theater in the country, in 3D and not, in IMAX where available, etc... I have a feeling they're going to get a LOT of bang for their buck here. And even if it feels oversaturated at the time, if that means Marvel makes a mountain of $ off this and can then do some less-popular character films (Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, you name it) - then I'm all for it.

And at the 15 second mark, a very familiar face to the Marvel Movie Universe whose involvement, until now, was just an IMDB rumor.
