I hope they point out his photographic memory and which helps his pin point acuracy with the shield. Also, he should do some more cool things with the shield. I also wish Tony would've treated Steve with respect in that clip. He should be thought of as a cultural icon.

Not necessarily in the films. I recall in a video interview The First Avenger screenwriters wanted some ambiguity: perhaps some people still think of Cap as a propaganda character because they don't know of the supersoldier project and his activities post October 1943. Only the higher ups like Fury and Coulson in SHIELD or Ross in the military know the truth.

Tony has a kind of inferiority complex about Cap, that he hides by being snarky and defensive.

I disagree....Cap had a relationship with Howard that Tony never really had, not to mention the guilt Howard carried around for never finding Cap

I could understand how there is friction there

Without spoiling too much that clip isn't the last word on how Tony and Steve see each other. And Tony has never been... the deferential type.

It's nice that the big guns Thor, Hulk and Iron Man got the lions share of bad guy stomping. Each character has there use and place and they balance out the scenes well but I was afraid you would see Hawkeye or Widow take out just as much as Hulk or Thor in a straight up fight and although you can get away with it it is still silly.

I found Cap to be the innocent of the group - Tony Stark is a self serving opportunist (which is why I love him) Thor arrogant and otherworldly, Banner dangerous and Hawkeye and the Widow a couple of killers - in fact Natasha probably killed more people than Loki. But Cap was the genuinely decent man amongst them. his real gift was his humanity.

    Spoiler Free Review -

While there’s already literally hundreds on reviews of Marvel’s The Avengers available on the web here’s a Spoiler Free review for the thousands of US viewers yet to see the
    movie.

For me, May is Avengers Month. I bought my first Marvel comic, Avengers #76, in May 1970 and it was May 2010 that I was lucky enough to get my photo in Avengers #1 so although the movie opened here in New Zealand on April 25 I waited until May 1 before seeing the movie with most of my family. (I tried to get in with my Avengers ID. The cashier thought it was cool but I still had to pay. And I don’t begrudge a single cent of the $10.50 entry fee.)

The premise of The Avengers as a team of fictional heroes is that the team is greater than the sum of its parts and this movie is a rare example where the same is true of the cast and crew. With this movie everyone, the director, writers, actors, special effects, designers, have all hit their mark with Hawkeye precision producing a new bench-mark in action and comic book based entertainment.

Kevin Fiege, Joss Whedon and the rest of the crew have expertly delivered an Avengers tale for today that still respectfully pays homage to the 1960 comic-book origins of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes while mixing with the best elements of the Ultimate Universe version of the heroes.
For those who think they know the story from all trailers and T.V. spots, think again. There are still surprises aplenty from the very first scene through to the end and there is not a single wasted line of dialogue in the whole 142 minutes.

I was reading this article and it says:
It seems as if the US will indeed be getting an extra scene at the end of the credits of Marvel's The Avengers. So, is it a set-up for Ant-Man, Doctor Strange or something else altogether? Well, it's definitely not what you might expect!

I saw this the other night, and I'm totally neutral. I didn't enjoy Thor being Hulk's rag doll, and it was a little too Tony Stark heavy for my tastes, but it was pretty good. I wasn't jumping up and down with excitement or anything, but other than Sin City, It's the closest thing to a perfect comic book movie yet.

I just photoshopped some of my favorite images of the characters in the film as an homage to their 616 counterparts. Enjoy!
