after seeing the trailer it got me thinking when Tony mentioned something like he wasnt recommended to be part of the team (reference to IM2) ... but then how would the endscene in Hulk 2008 movie fit into all this where he mentions to ross we're putting up a team? will that scene be suddenly inserted somewhere in the avengers movie and then we move to the scene where BW tries to convince banner? i hope they find a good explanation for it.. retcons would suck

The Consultant Marvel One-Shot short film deals with this. It's an extra on the Thor Blu-Ray.

As an aside, it's Emil Blonsky / The Abomination that's referred to in the post-credits scene, not The Hulk.

I read somewhere recently that they purposely left that scene ambiguous so it would fit in with their plans no mater what they were lol. Smart move.

Yeah, but The Consultant clarifies that it's about Blonsky.

Doesn't make a huge difference in the continuity, other than establishing that the average joe SHIELD agents all think Stark is a dick.

I don't know if anything was said about this but apparently 45 minutes was shaved off of the Avengers movie

    http://movies.ign.com/articles/122/1220590p1.html

Originally 3 hours, 45 minutes was taken off making it about 2hr and 15min.

Want do you guys think? A good amount of time for the movie? Too little? Too much?
    Bra'tac: Now we die.
    O'Neill: Well, that's a bad plan.

O'Neill: I've spent my whole life sticking it to the man.
Jackson: Well now you will be the man.
    O'Neill: I don't think I can be the man.

3:45 is waaaaaayyyyy too long for an action movie.

Hell, 2:15 is a bit on the long side for an action movie. Longer not necessarily equal to better.

Further clarified in the Fury's Big Week comic. Apparently, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk (from the university attack forward), Thor and the surrounding scenes of Captain America happen in the space of a week.

I think this is one of those movies I could easily sit through 3 hours without any problems. 135 minutes seems kinda short, considering all the characters involved.

This is the one bit of news that's kinda bummed me out.

As i get older (i mean as i go further into my 30s) i find it increasingly difficult to sit through action movies in excess of 2 hours.

I think that 2hr 15min running time is perfect for this sort of film.
