who will/should be peter's girlfriend post clone saga?

these threads have always been amusing, so i thought i'd take another stab at the old 'how sad will peter's love life be?' question.

Mary-Jane Watson: the classic. everybody knows she and peter are supposed to be together. maybe peter will finally take her back now that she seems to have learned her lesson.

Kitty Pride: she's spunky, geeky, and a trained superhero. she is also psychotically jealous of her boyfriends former girlfriends and lives halfway across the state.

Gwen Stacy: she's back from the dead (or maybe just a clone). she's always liked peter (why do you think she ran away to his house?), though she doesn't want to admit it to anyone, even herself. perhaps she will finally come around, if she isn't thown in jail for breaking the "dead people stay dead" clause in the UU rulebook.

Peter will take a break from girlfriends: perhaps peter will be too creeped out by seeing a girl version of himself to look at any of the above stated girls and think about making out. or maybe when these three eventually meet up they will fight each other over peter. either way, peter will be swinging the batchelor life with tony stark (minus the alcoholism).

for obvious reasons, i'm not going to include spider-woman in the poll.

Since this is Ultimate Spider-Man, that might not be the case! I hope it's and it should be Mary Jane.

I cant stand ultimate Mary Jane. Too much of 616's personality is injected into her.

I guess thematically i would go with Kitty since ultimate gwen is ultimate dead right now. Although i would be interested in a relationship between those two simply because Gwen is so different between the two 'verses and it would be something different; which the Ultimate universe needs desperately.

Plus i do like the idea of the more domineering of two in a relationship being the female. Wow that sounds weird. What i mean is, it would be a switch for someone so forceful to be with Peter. That would be an interesting psychological dynamic that i haven't seen in spiderman yet. And ultimately i want the ultimate verse to jump off the quasi 616 rails they have been riding on and make their own way. Hell, kill everyone peter knows and move him to a new city. Something. Anything, to get me excited about a line i once thought had promise.

I like Ultimate Mary Jane a whole lot more than her 616 version, BUT: There's no point in having an Ultimate Universe if things just end up the same!

So Go SpiderKitty I say!

Actually, I'd rather have him with Gwen for some odd reason. Don't like Mary Jane that much, admittedly. As for Kitty, I don't like think he really likes her...more like he's settling for her since he can't have Jane or Gwen...

I think Kitty is convenient since she has powers of her own. The only problem is that he can't spend unmasked time with her. If people saw Peter and Kitty together too much, it wouldn't be hard to figure out that Peter is Spider-Man.

Well i thought it was Kitty, because Ultimate Power is after Ultimates 2 and 3 but before 4(its after 2 because of Ant Man).

Yet Fury still has both arms in Ultimate Spiderman and I am pretty sure USM is still before Ultimates 2, because we haven't see any of the fallout.

God the Ultimates timeline is a mess.

Bendis has done a great job showing the Pete/MJ relationship evolve throughout the series. I hate his dialogue, but I still wonder what he could do if given a shot at writing the mature, grown-up versions full-time in 616 since it's doubtful the Ultimate Peter and MJ will never reach that age.

I just hope it's Kitty Pryde, it's something we haven't seen before, it's cool and quite interesting.
I've had enough of Mary Jane as of now, and turning her into a hairy goblin thing didn't help for me to like her...

I'll have to say Kitty. It was one of the best thing to happen in the Ultimate world. I think Kitty is a good addition to the Spider-man world. She adds so much more then MJ.

Been following the trades, and I have to say it i really hope that Peter gets back together with Mary Jane. However considering on how much the Ultimate Peter Parker / Ultimate Mary Jane releationship as been a trainwreck in slow motion, it's not some thing that is just going to happen in a short pariod of time.

The Ultimate Gwen Stacy / Ultimate Peter Parker relationship has been non-existant.

Ultimate Kitty Pryde / Ultimate Peter Parker has been really good. Kitty Pryde having powers too really suits Peter Parker. Especially with his pariona about freinds and family getting hurt. However there is that marvel 616 part of me that finds Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde as a couple just no right.

Considering with all that has happens so far, I do feel that Kitty Pryde is the best choice. However I would like to see Mary Jane and Peter Parker as a couple again.

Me too. Especially consider that deep down, they know that they really love each other.
