I've never liked Spider-man as an Avenger. Plus he has enough books of his own.

Hes on the team, black costume, there's an image (alt. cover) over at newsarama of both teams together. It's on the boards.

My Heroes For Hire: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, The Falcon, Ant-Man (Scott Lang). White Tiger IV and Powerman would be interns.

Yes, it's fun to have him on the team plus he helps the book attain high sales.

Agreed. I've been so looking forward to him ditching the "Iron Spidey" duds and ill-fitting 'New Avenger' role and returning to being a solo act. He was reduced to the team's goofy comic relief, like Beast Boy in the Teen Titans, and the New Avengers replaced his actual supporting cast in his own titles. Here's hoping that we've seen the last of him hanging around New Avengers tower with Luke Cage and Jarvis. After all, he's still going to team up with everyone under the sun on occasion, as usual, but there's no reason to keep weighing the character down with all this 'full-time New Avenger' baggage.

Just like Batman, Spidey is interesting solo as well as a team member. I'm really glad he'll be on NA alonside Wolverine!

    Aye for the vote!

I like him in the NA, he works well with Wolverine, Luke Cage, even Spider-Woman, he should continue.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!

I think the Avengers: Disassembled tie-in in Peter Parker: Spider-Man and his first appearance in New Avengers are fine examples.

I haven't reading New Avengers to know how well or not he's doing as an Avenger. But I do know he's in too many places. And since I enjoy continuity, I go with "No."

I agree, the Iron Spider duds have been wisely scrapped. I wouldn't mind seeing a continuing relationship between Cap and Peter, but only occassionally, as their paths cross.... or if one has to really call in the other for help.

But let's see what happens to Mary Jane and Aunt May first!

yes. because international crime and villany should get some of his brand of smart-assery.
I mean, the Ronin arc. remember that? he commented on how the people he was jumping on smelled like lilacs, or something.
thats funny. the avengers need that kind of funny.
let's just hope he's still funny after civil war.

definately yes. Spiderman is one of the wittiest and sharpest characters in MU, his personality fits great in a team, and it makes the whole team look cooler having Spiderman with them (especially in the Black!)

I dont really get these "hes in too many books" and "he doesnt need full team baggage" comments. Spidermans "supporting cast" are...MJ and Aunt May. Adding a few others isnt the end of the world. and if you dont like the fact he is in lots of books...dont buy them. i personally think Friendly Neighbourhood and Sensational are crappy books with stupid storylines, so i dont buy them, but i dont begrudge them EXISTING.
