Everybody's getting back together these days.

    It's about Fking time!

The thing is, that none of the three make music which is anything like what they are as "the Police." I've missed that greatly, as have many others across the world.

Anything that gets Sting to put that sodding lute down is a good thing too!

As I said at Rita's last night, I'm all for it if they sound like the Police, and not like Sting's boring solo albums.

Color me uninterested. The Police were boring enough in 1981.

Ha! I hope the other guys pick up mandolins and harps and they make some medeival troubadour trio just to annoy you. It'd probably sound good, too.

I agree, but you know who's really excited? Diddy!

Give them another listen, Mir. BestSongs. They had a few great songs (mostly power pop rather than the faux-reggae they're known for):

    So Lonely
    Next to You
    On Any Other Day
    Canary in a Coalmine

Granted that's not a lot for three albums, but they had their moments. Some of their singles are pretty good, too, like "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and "Synchronicity II".

And Stewart Copeland's drumming is never boring.

I'm with Howie on this one.

I would love to see these guys play, as long as they are playing like the Police and not being Stings, Herbel Remedy, New Age, Crap Act Jazz Band.

Hell yeah, I cannot wait for this. As long as we get the So Lonely, Canary In Coalmine, Roxanne, De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da, Walking On The Moon, version of the Police.

It's important that he use an authentic 16th Century technique whilst putting the lute down.

Last time the Police did anything together they mucked up Don't Stand So Close To Me.

Sometimes things are better left alone.

I think he should stick to the lute. There's no point in going backwards.

Oh, I used to love the Police. I know their catalogue. But they don't wear well.

Then I must defer to your more extensive experience. :D I was a casual fan when they were around, used to play a song or two in bands, and still like most of their fast songs.
