Spider-Man and the Punisher are both with the anti-Regs at the end of the issue. If the sniper is to be stopped, which I doubt he will be, my theory is that the hooker called S.H.E.I.L.D. instead of the Kingpin's men and an army of agents will show up to apprehend Peter. The sniper won't risk shooting anyone then.

But my money is on MJ getting seriously wounded. It would explain why Peter goes back to the black costume. After all, I don't think May ever had a problem with that particular outfit.

I think neither of them are going to die... of a gun shot. My predictions:

~ Prostitute called SHIELD agents in the hopes of cashing in on a reward.

~ SHIELD agents see the sniper before they have the opportunity to go into the motel.

~ MJ & May see the confusion, and are able to sneak out and run.

~ Because of everything, May has a heart attack or a stroke. (Doesn't die though)

~ Peter feels guilty, starts wearing Black Costume again.

The only two things wrong that I see with my theory are 1) MJ hates the black costume & 2) THis has nothing to do w/ the marriage which Joe Q said it would.

Wait, I thought I heard that Aunt May will be dying in Spiderman III. Wouldn't it make sense to end her life in the comics at the same time? I'm guessing they decide it's time for Peter to "grow" again - this time blaming himself for MAY's death (ie not just blaming himself for his Uncle's death) because if he hadn't gone public, May would still be alive.

how is this a spoiler? most of the time the cover of an issue barly reflects the story on the inside. well except civil war so far. see that what i like about the ult spidey covers, most of the time its a generic shot of spidey doing something acrobatic or swinging on a web.

I wouldn't mind to see them both die, have the sniper take out May, and put MJ in ICU. That would help tie it in to the "One More Day" arc. Or have May get nicked, and MJ gets killed, then May could go to Stark Tower and ask to live there for safety reasons and Tony wouldn't turn her away and everyone knows that Jarvis wouldn't. Plus it could start up that Jarvis May relationship again.
