    Default Suncoast Mess UP!

Well, I revently visited a Suncoast at the mall and was looking through there anime DVD section, and right next to some DVD's of Bleach I saw this dark colored dvd that read " Bible Black", and I saw there was some blood and stuff, I was like haaa? turns out it was a hentai title, and as I started to look through more of the dvd's I saw that there were allbunch of hentai dvd's with uncensored covers just being put out next to manga that is for little kids...
I was just wondering, can't Suncoast get in major trouble for putting pornographic material out in public for little kids to see?

Of coarce I didn't make a big deal out of it, I just walked away, but still there are probably a lot of bitchy mom's out there that are sue happy...

The Virgin Megastore in Times Sqaure puts there hentai in the anime section as well. As long as people read the "absolutely not for children" disclaimer on the covers it shouldn't be a huge problem.

well the disclamer is like on one side of the box, and it has pictures of people, boobs tenticles and all the other creepy stuff on it, so i'm pretty sure the sign won't help....well i hope they don't get sued.

Most Suncoasts have hentai in a separate section. It's kinda hilarious. My friend once worked at one. He said only softcore porn is allowed in live action. Strict rule. Yet they sell explicit XXX hentai.

I know the Virgin Megastore that closed in Boston had hentai mixed in with regular anime.

Felt like I should bump this Suncoast specific thread in addition to the post about I made about this subject in a general anime buying thread.

My Suncoast just disapeared and I'm pissed.

Suncoast used to be good. They helped create the anime market in Ameica. Then Best Buy bought them. Tested out some things like the anime market. Saw there was a market for anime. Started carrying the same titles at a much lower price, some even at half price. Then fans started to go to Best Buy for these outrageous deals. Then Best Buy sells Suncoast now that they stole their customers and they slowly began to raise their anime prices to more normal prices. Of course they still sell more volume, so they can still be a few bucks cheaper on regular prices. They also play games with exclusive package deals. So, screw Best Buy and their questionable buisiness practices.

Just recently, my local Suncoast up and closed. No going out of buisiness sale. No heads up. Nothing. They gave customers one day's notice and put up a sign anything we had preordered could be picked up at FYE in another city. There was even an FYE in the same mall as Suncoast and they're gone too. Crazy.

The other FYE, rather sucks. None of the selection or speciliaty that Suncoast had. It's just another generic movie / video game / CD store. I don't have any reason to shop there even if it is local. It's still owned by a giant company that shut down Suncoast without even a goodbye.

So there you go. Don't subscibe to their new Backstage Pass card if you haven't already. Thankfully I got mine for free because I already had the old Suncoast card. Still pissed that one of the few movie specialty stores jsut disappeared overnight.
