Wait, so Lara has the chance to escape Krypton with her son and raise him, but she'd rather stay behind to die with her husband and let her son be an orphan? I know it's Silver Age and all, but what a bad parent.
Oh yeah, and Mogo definitely.
Alan Scott, the first and still the best of them all.

Byrnes orginal concept was not Ka-el ariving on earth in the birthing matrix. But instead a pregnant and dying lara was suposed to arive on earth. she was suposed to die giving birth in the kent home from a combination of giving birth and kryptonite posining. She begs Jonathan and martha to protect and raise her son. Martha having lost her own son[still birth] agreed. The blizard struck and their neighbors knowing how much much the kents wanted a child asumed that the child was a in home birth while the kents were snowed in for the winter.Originally Posted by DMike

Alan Moore's Empire of Tears, Children of the White Lobe, Ranx the Sentient City scared me $#less when I first read about them. It always frustrated me that nobody bothered to run with the ball and add them to GL's rogues gallery.

So I see John is disliked (or worse) ignore by this boards GL community again.
Sad.
Perhaps, though this is hardly a scientific poll, nor is it represenative of the GL community as a whole.Originally Posted by PFunk

Why don't you cry about it? ;)Originally Posted by PFunk
Seriously, lighten up a little, man. Your favorite character didn't do very well in a silly internet poll. Big %&#ing deal. You've got plenty of cool John Stewart stuff to enjoy. Enough with this constant moping. Cripes. You're starting to make even overzealous Hal nuts look reasonable.
Well to be fair they have quieted down since they got at least some of what they wanted. It seems even zealots simmer down after they get enough of what they want. Kinda like Republicans. :pOriginally Posted by Bored at 3:00AM
Maybe it's just me, but John is not a very popular Green Lantern because he... you know... BLEW UP A PLANET.
