There's one scene where Peter asks Detective Lamont for help and lends him a document covered in webbing. Lamont asks the lab technicians to run a sample on the webbing.

I remember what you are talking about, but was it the webshooter webbing or the sad excuse for a story created by Jenkis webbing? And what do you mean used against spidey, i dont see how webbing could actually hurt him at all

Well, if he would just reach back in time and change the actual event, then he wouldn't have to erase or alter anything else.
Peter never unmasked, there never were photos or videos of it, nobody remembers it because it didn't take place in the first place.

This sounds like the easy answer to me and the best. Alter the unmasking and only the avengers/mj/may/eddie/mac/norman will know, just like it was before.

I honestly wish JMS had more time now to tie-up these loose ends, i orignaly thought.. "there isn't much for him to do" but now the more i think the more i want him on the book to make his run have a clear ending.

In #500 didn't time shift slightly causing events to change slightly(Gwen being conscious on the bridge)? Perhaps the time line shifts back in OMD causing changes to the present like I.D. still a mystery, Sins Past not happening or no marriage.

You're absolutely right. Spider-Man wasn't using organic webbing in Amazing Spider-Man until the next storyline.

It may still be a minor plot point, but I doubt it'll do the cops much good.

Totem War! When Spider-Man gets involved in a war between the totem of the animal gods and Morlun too. The whole totem thing is a intresting idea but it was sorta left at the wayside they needed to introduce totems of other gods since logic would state the Spider God is'nt the only one out there.

Since Peter David's tying up loose ends from The Other, this seems a bit unlikely given the current solicits for One More Day hint more to the involvement of Mary Jane, Iron Man and Doctor Strange.

I agree, PAD is currently handling all things Other so my guess is this concept wont be touched on for along time, or even by another writter as it's kinda JMS's calling card...his mark on the methos.

Going on the whole Loki mindwipe theory here is a way that Loki would fulfill the favor and yet trick Peter at the same time. He'd make the world forget that he is Spiderman and instead make the world think Spiderman is secretly some supervillian, terrorist, or something. Which would make it so Spidey is hunted even harder than now.

Or he'd do something like making Peter forget he's Spiderman as well. Much like they made Wally West forget he was Flash over in DC a few years back.
