Is there any way to get the Alt+1 hotlink changed?
I often want to make a symbol (such as a dash) using Alt codes, but as soon as I hit one, it takes me to another page.
Any hope for a revision or do I have to pretty much forget it?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you asking if we can change the way your system's back feature functions? It sounds like it is more on your side ie your browser or operating system than CBR.
No, I visit many forums and this is the only one that happens on (); therefore it seems most unlikely that it's my browser, no?
What specifically do you mean by Alt+1 hotlink? If we have a better understanding of what your problem is be maybe able to help.
Oh sorry, I thought you knew. :o Umm, when I press alt+1 it loads the forums page.Perhaps you can try it for yourself in the forums area (such as when I type this message).
This alt+1 thingy (is it called a hotlink?) doesn't work on the rest of the site, only when in the forums section.
Hope that helps clear it up. :)
I'm on a Mac and it doesn't reload the page when I hit Alt1. Hotlinking is actually when you copy a image link from a site and use it on another site ie bandwidth stealing.
What operating system including the version and browser including the version are you using?
Just a guess here - was the first link on your browser's bookmarks bar the CBR forums? 'Cause in Safari, if you press command and a number, it loads a page from your bookmarks toolbar.
Sorry for the late reply... dunno if you've heard, but an earthquake off the coast of Taiwan just after Christmas has impared Asia-NA communications.
Yeah, I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 1.5.0.9
Thanks for the definition of a 'hotlink'. Ya learn somethin' new every day! :)
From your profile, it says you are from China. Are you using the US versions of the software or Chinese?
I'm using a Chinese version of Windows XP, but I'm using the latest Firefox in English.
I really can't understand how it could be the OS causing the 'problem' since -- as I said -- it's only on this site that I have had this happen.
Since you are the only person to ask about this problem, it leads me to think it is something on your end. I'm not sure how were are going to test for this problem since none of us use the Chinese version of Windows.
Both the Admins are busy at the moment, but I'll ask them to look into it when they are not so busy.
It is most definitely NOT on our end.
