    127?
Seems a tad limited to me, wasn´t he supposed to have mastered Every! single! Fighting! Technique! Known! To! man?

Last I heard, he was at around 3000+

Personally, I´ve have preferred a Batman who´s really good at just 5 or 6.

    Kung Fu
    tae-kwon-do
    Kickboxing
    Boxing
    Judo

Why does he need to learn summo wrestling? Do we need an overweight Batman?

The Ultimate Guide to The Dark Knight by Scott Beatty. That's a hard number, though. In his mythos, he's supposed to be a master of every single form of fighting known to man.
    Go !@#$ yourself.

It's in a comic issue. Don't know the number but it's BS. How can a person devoted to a buisness(Wayne Enterprises) and crime fighting(Batman) hgave time to learn that many martial arts.

He can't. It's just ridiculous when they specify it like that. It's like Superman lifting planets type ridiculous. They should just leave it at him being one the world's best martial artists. The number of styles he's "mastered" is irrelevant.

With the exception of Jeet Kune Do, those styles seem a little too commercial for his needs. I've always thought of Batman as more of a ninjutsu/judo/jujutsu type of guy. With animal styles and esoteric stuff in the background just in case he ever needed to get really wonky.

does Kung Fu fall in that same category too as kinda commercial or flashy?

and if u could choose any 10 styles for Batman to master, what would they be, just to be believable. lets say, for Batman Begins.

I´ve listed 5 but of course they´re just platforms to work from, he could combine the verious styles to create his own unique style which works best for him.

You hang around the internet too long and you start hearing ludicrous things like "Batman is the best at everything".

Nobody (human!) can be the best at everything because while they´re studying to be the best at everything, there are thousands of people around the world focused at specializing themselves at each of those fields.

No matter how smart you are, if you are dividing your time into becoming good at forensics, chemistry, electronics, Judo, kung fu, boxing, kickboxing, nijutsu, .......(....), ..............korean cuisine, you´ll never become as good as all those thousand upon thousand of people who devote every single moment of the day into becoming the best at just one of those fields, be it forensics science, chemistry..... (....) .... or korean cuisine.

Or does anyone actually believe that a guy who studies electronics for 10 minutes a day on his trip to Tibet can be a better electronics expert than all the M.I.T. students who are burning the midnight oil right now, as I type this, investing their entire lives specialising themselves into becoming the absolute best in their field?

Animal styles are nowhere near as popular as Tae Kwon Do. I bet he'd have some time with the popular stuff, but I think he'd prefer something a little more 'in the shadows' so he could catch people by surprise.

    Ten styles? hmm.

I can definitely see him spending time with the Japanese stuff. The whole one strike kill thing just suits him (though he doesn't kill. KO's do the job). I'd say:

Ninjutsu for stealth and survival skills.
Bagua for footwork meant to deal with multiple opponents
Aikido for a "soft" method of restraint
Jujutsu for an expanison of the same
Judo for leverage and working the bigger man
    Five animals for something unorthodox
A style of Karate or another for the 'hard & fast' philosophy. Kyokushin perhaps.
    Boxing for hand speed
Muay Thai for harmonizng the power of the eight limbs
The eighteen Shaolin weapons, for knowledge/improvisation

Whatever. I don't think he'd perform any of these in the textbook fashion. He'd shape them to fit his goals and personal delivery system. It'd all be very fluid and "Batman". I think Eliseu hit the nail on the head.
